The teeboxes on this course are the some of the worst I have ever seen, but not nearly as bad as the greens. The greens were very inconsistent and would not roll correctly. The price to play is 35-45$ to play which is an insane amount for the quality of this golf course. Oh I almost forgot to mention the dead fish in the middle of the first holes fairway!
Love this place
Its not as crowded which I absolutely love. More amateur friendly. Greens are good and fairways are great. No complaints
Getting really nice in Alma
I took a group of 12 over to play this past Sunday. The course is 200% better than this time last year.
Fairways were the best at 85...really good coverage, but lots of divots need filling.
Greens were at 70...2 weeks since aerification, needs a top dressing, then these greens will be perfect.
Bunkers were at 75...Weekend mornings should see all bunkers rake and greens mowed first thing.
Rough was at 50... some was ankle deep and others were shin high.
With all the attention on the greens, I can see where the rough and bunkers aren't getting a lot of attention.
Clubhouse has a nice 19th hole bar with very comfortable seating to sit down and pay off your betting debts once the round is down.
Staff was very friendly.
Good selection of snacks, drinks and hot dogs, etc.
I'll be playing the course again soon. Always enjoying playing a course where you get to see improvements every time you visit.
The Blueberry Inn is on property for a stay & play.
The dining is reportedly "OFF THE HOOK" good eating.
Still got to plan a visit with the wife.
You can order fancy lunch for your group from the Inn on certain days of the week...check with the pro shop.
Great Improvement
First time at the course in over a year. Great improvement to the greens and fairways. Still a few damp spots, but the course is really looking nice. The greens were recently aerifieded and the new growth has almost filled in the holes.
Looking forward to playing again soon.
Overpriced
The course was in rough shape for the price, the cart paths were like going off roading in a big truck. Asked about a membership and the total cost was around 1000$ they still want you to pay when you walk with a membership. I understand a cart fee but not to walk that’s ridiculous, the facility is old and not updated. Your not allowed to bring your own cooler or anything either. You can go thirty minutes down the road and at the brazell course for less money and have better conditions.
Don't recommend
Paid for 3 players it rained the day before show up at tee time was told the course was closed. Absolutely no notification once so ever from them or golf now highly upset.

Did you call them ?they let me play for free the other day for a mix up when they had all the rain and tee times had been made by Golf now they didn't know they was going to be Closed until the morning of because a storm had moved in overnight. Just call miss Trish she will take care of you also if you going .to play now that the course is coming back to its original Beauty and everyone is finding out... their T times for Saturday and Sunday go fast
Beautiful
Not very bust fairway was perfect but some of the greens were ahhh not the greatest but with it being a resort that host alot of weddings I'd imagine drunk ppl don't usually fix ball marks or club damage all in all really fun course very laid back one person caught us
Disappointed
If you live in the surrounding area it might be worth playing here but not if you have to drive from Jacksonville. I'll chalk this experience up to been there, done that. The tee boxes are in horrible condition and be wary of the earthen cart paths because they will wreak havoc on your back. The fairways are better than average but the yardage markers are hard to locate and the sand traps are hard packed. Greens are fast, bumpy, and burnt.
Needs Alot of Work
I got to play this Course for a great price due to Golfnow. But if I paid the full price that the Course normally charges, I would have been highly upset. Even though this Course did not have paved Cart paths, alot of the areas you had to drive on to get to a Tee Box, where horrible. While I was playing, I saw no workers working on the Course grounds. On top of that, alot of the Greens were in poor shape. Some of the ruffs around the greens were tall and needed cutting. People who play their on a regular bases has no respect for other golfers. Every time I was getting ready to tee off, I had to remove 20 to 30 broken tees out of my way, just so I could tee off. Willing to play here again and reevaluate my play.
Excellent Track............. But................
Such a shame that the greens are in horrific conditions! More than just aeration .........
Great friendly course
This place is beautiful, just a perfect little track. Great place to score but also plenty of challenge. Greens fairways and tees all looked clean and green. Will be coming back
Surprisingly very nice
I live a little over an hour away. I had head so many times about how nice this course is that i finally decided to make the drive. Was well worth it. Grenns were nice, fairway was excellent.
I will be back, as soon as the shelter in place is lifted.
Course conditions were terrible!
This course previously was in great shape! But today the fairways and around the greens had many weeds growing up. Several of the greens were burnt or had poor conditions!
Well taken care of course! Very forgiving course for the most part!
Love love love this course! Very well taken care of. It looks like the greens had recently been aerated but still in great shape! Will definitely be back
Good value for the money!
Overall course was good. Tee’s, fairways, and greens looked pretty good. There was a LOT of weeds growing up directly around several greens. The bunkers were very hard and have not been worked in a while. With a little work this place could be a hidden gem!
Nice Course
Overall this is a great course! Greens and fairway were not the best due to the time of season but enjoyed this course a lot. Nice layout and course location. If you haven’t been I definitely suggest checking it out
Cold and sunny
What a beautiful course .great layout and challenging.very friendly staff.. fast greens and smooth.we drove over two hours too play this course again I think that says it all.
The member ship is 0nly 600.00 a year and it only cost 20$ to walk it or use a cart for a member to play unlimited golf as long as T times are available and the greens all but hole # 11 is which is in progress in better than average shape. after all we are just getting over winter weather. and when the springtime weather gets here, and the Bermuda grass starts to grow. the greens and fairways are going to beautiful. i know they struggled to get a good greens Supervisor for a while.. and they hired a great Guy about 6 months ago and he has made huge improvements overall to the course ..
