King City Golf Course

About
On this small, flat course a creek meanders through and comes into play on 4 holes. The fairways are tree lined and the greens are tricky.

6 holes. 4 par 3s. 2 par 4s.
Course has been rerouted since a flood wiped half the 9 hole track last year. Gone are both it’s par 5s, it’s best par 4, a par 3 and half of a par 4 which is now a par 3. A par 3, which was part of its practice area has been added as part of the course.
Not gone, the crab grass fairways. That being said, greens, although small, are great. So if you want to work on your short game and play 6 holes 3 times to get in 18 a $10 hot deal could be money well spent.
Great time
Some holes were closes down but still enjoyed the day
Waist of time & don’t bother
Not even 9 holes only 6. The course is beat and in terrible condition not to mention the course layout has no signs so it’s confusing where’s what. Staff definitely needs work, their rude and clueless kids.
King city golf course
This is a good place to start if you’re new to golfing. It’s a short course with 6 holes. Pace of play can be slow, because the way the course is set up. You have to wait until the group in front tee off before you can get on the green. Because the tee box is inline with the green on some holes. Friendly staff, and price is great.
Was not able to play do to they don't accept on line times.
They don't accept on line tee times. They need to be removed from this site. I was charged a fee for using this site and did not get what I paid for.
Not a beginner course
My first golfing experience here was quite interesting. The layout was confusing after restructuring post-storms, lacking signage or a map for guidance. I left after the 5th hole due to getting lost, but as a beginner not keeping score, it was still a nice outing. Considering trying the course again with a friend who knows the layout. The staff and fellow golfers were friendly, though the course didn't quite suit me. At least the tee fees support children's programs, so not a complete waste.

Not worth it, wouldn’t recommend
Confusing layout with no signs, definitely a bad environment of people, and a waste of time. First time playing here, and had a women run over to yell about the smallest things who doesn’t even work there and proceeded to chase us down. I guess friends of the owners have some sort of authority so I 100% wouldn’t waste my time playing here!
Horrible course!! Terrible condition! Even worse people!
2 maybe 3 decent holes, dirt and pot holes everywhere, rude and disrespectful people including workers and management. Played here for years, it use to be amazingly maintained and just recently came to the course to play again under new owners and every time it’s something new, first rude service and next older folks trying to find any reason to yell at you because they’re the owners friends. Just a terrible environment and cheap course, I would never recommend.
Horrible course!! Terrible people! Terrible condition
Maybe 2-3 decent holes. Nothing but pot holes and dirt everywhere. You’re lucky to finish a round without an old lady coming to yell at you and finish with “they know the new owners”. Been playing here for years and only played a few times with the new owners management and I have to say, it gets worse and worse each time. From the course, to the workers, to the people, I don’t see why anyone should play here.
Great potential!
This 9 hole par 35 course will test your game. It has a great layout and issuper fun. The smaller greens will test your short game. This course just became under new management and is connected now with the First Tee of Monterey County which will help bring course improvements. Currently the fairways and greens need improvements but PGA member Jeromy explained that help is on the way. Don’t miss out on low cost green fees if traveling through King City on highway 101.
Small Town Course
I play this course about once a week. After about a 15 year hiatus, due to injuries, I returned back to golf about 4 months ago. The course hasn't changed much in the past 15 years, but is under different management now. No significant changes, but I do notice less golfers in the time-frame I play (before noon). Greens are fair, some of the fairways have gopher holes, but over-all for a municipal course it ranks average to above average. Fees are competitive but can be negotiated, depending on how much one plays.
Nice 9 hole
Nice course. New owners have made some upgrades although still needs a little work. Been golfing here for over 20 years and will continue.
