China Lake
Golf Course is located on NAWC China Lake, so you need a pass to get on base, or be a guest of someone with base access. Nice clubhouse with food and pro-shop. Very affordable price to golf. Not very crowded. Located in the high desert of Southern California, so the course is dry. The greens are in good shape, but there are areas of the course that are not great, but you have to understand how dry it is here. I'm sure water restrictions have forced them to not being able to water a lot. Course is part of MWR on the base and it well managed and operated.
Weeds
There are more weeds than grass. A lot more weeds.
Fair/average
This course is priced well, if you use the golf now app. If you do not use it, you are over paying as I have many times.
I have been there alot, only because it's close. A raincheck for the back nine only happens if they feel like it. They say the weather is not an excuse.
So basically dont pay for 18 If there is a chance of weather because "it's not their fault you didn't look at the weather" but thanks for your money..
The little resturaunt is actually well priced. Other than customer service, it's not a terrible course. They have ponds, that they cover with lillies, so they are impossible to see, so I don't know what the point is. And the course is very flat. Excellent for beginners.
