Meadows Golf Club
About
Located in the Southwest Metro area, the golf course at the Meadows Golf Club has a links-style layout that provides a challenging and fun game for all golfers. The trio of Bradford Benz, J. Michael Poellot, and Richard Phelps designed this municipal, 18-hole course. It is just over 7,000 yards and plays to a par of 72. The course is situated against the foothills of the Rockies, providing nice views along the course. The risk-and-reward layout of the course features water hazards and bunkers. Meadows Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3, 8th hole, which require a shot over water to a well-bunkered and extremely sloped green.

Opportunities to go low...
The course features a number of drivable, or nearly drivable par 4's (from the blues) and on most of them, no real penalty for a slight miss as is the case at other courses with short 4's. Greens are in great shape but play less break than what you see in almost every case.
You won't find any Mr. Congeniality award in the pro shop trophy case. It's always nice to feel welcome when you arrive at a course....don't expect that here.
Overall worth the price and is an enjoyable round of golf.
Great Layout
Awesome course a little slow but not bad. Greens were firm and quick
Meadows not the same.
Use to play Meadows years ago quite often when I lived in Denver. Just moved back this year and played for the first time since I moved back in March. Very disappointed as the greens were in terrible shape, not sure why with all the rain this year. Pace of play was so slow we quit after nine holes as it took almost 3 hours to play the front side. I will not go back to visit Meadows again as there are many better values for golf in Denver.
Lack of consideration
I came in after booking on Golfnow.com and the lady working at the desk told me that there were no carts on the front 9 due to weather and that someone called me to relay that to me. I told her that I have a hurt leg and need to have a cart and no one ever called me or else I would've never wasted my $10 fee to book. She told me that I again received a call, but I proved to her that I did not. She said I must have booked late in the evening because the staff were making calls until around 9. I showed her my confirmation email that said I booked at 8 PM. I am not writing this review for a refund or even an apology. I just think if you are going to have an issue like this on the course you need to A.) not argue with a guest about what "was" done (or not in my case). and B.) find a creative way to accommodate your guest. My suggestion would've been to offer two back 9 tee times to accommodate my request to play 18 as well would've allowed me to use a cart, but the thought was never there. I just wish the thought of serving the guest was important to the staff as it seems whenever I am here, the focus is on other things.
Great course, thats about it.
Excellent test of golf, risk and reward everywhere. However, meadows charges too much $$ for the low quality of service. Don't ask for a PUSH cart, you'll want to ditch it by the third hole.
Looking good, as usual
The Meadows is a reliable, consistent standby. You can "always" count on it to be well-maintained and well-run. Two things made it tougher than usual this past weekend: Greens still bumpy from aeration (should be good by this coming weekend,) and the chilly wind seemed to be blowing in our face all day! Played 300-350 yards farther than normal. Otherwise, a pleasure!
A great day in February
This is a great and challenging public course. The conditions were good considering although a little sloppy in a few spots due to recent snow. The greens held nicely and it was an excellent value (at the roughly half cost) hot deal we got. Not sure it's worth the full price yet but come June I bet it will be.
Great golf course
The golf course is Really good, but it needs more maintenance in greens. For quality - price is Really good
DJ
Nice layout! Overpriced for area. GREAT STAFF. Need electric carts instead of gas. Noise of gas carts ruins the experience for a great course!
Conditions
For this time of year the course was in good condition
The staff are great people
I have been playing The Meadows for years now. During months when it is not snowing, I will normally play just about every Sunday. It is late in the year at this time so the greens are a little beat up however, they have been great all season long. The staff are outstanding, friendly, helpful. They make you want to work with them. The course can be challenging for first timers but as long as I have been playing it, I never get tired of it. Kudos to all of the staff for making the round enjoyable
1st time maybe bad luck, 2nd time not so sure???
My group drives about 50 minutes one way to this course we love to use the Hot Deals to help cover gas expenses when possible. We tried this course a couple of months ago a hailstorm with rain & lighting started right before our tee time. We were told that the course was not closed so no rain check would be given to us. We played the first 4 holes with hail on the greens. We finally gave up and quit after 14 holes. We wrote it off to our bad luck. We decided to give the course another try. I prepaid another Hot Deal and checked in all 4 guys. Our 4th player stopped by the Pro Shop to see if we had checked in and they charged him a green fee. This may have been an honest mistake but when your group is already checked in the course tee sheet should show that. They did refund his fee when we questioned the charge. The front 9 was in pretty good shape but we had a walking foursome playing from the tips 2 groups in front of us. After 3hrs & 30 minutes on the front 9 and watching those guys hit tee shots OB we wondered why they were walking and why they thought they should be playing the tips. We never saw a Marshall not one time all day. The front 9 was in okay condition but fairways in the back 9 were riddled with ground under repair areas. We finally finished the round in 5hrs & 45 minutes WOW! We were hungry and tried when we got to the resturant we were told they were closed. We like the track and can deal with ground under repair but almost 6 hours to play and a closed resturant at 7:20 on a Saturday did not impress us.
We will not likely be going back here any time soon.
Great course
Had not played this course in years. It was extremely well taken care of, and the greens were in perfect shape. Will definitely start playing here more often.
Wide Open
Great pace got done in less than 4 hrs. It was wide open.
poor notification of closed access roads
The main access road to the course has been closed several months. When we arrived to find this it took a while to find an alternate to the clubhouse. This delay caused us to miss the opportunity to warm up before we were called to the first tee. It would have been nice to know we needed to add travel time when we booked.
Good local course
At first I was disappointed in the condition of the golf cart. Very dirty and loud. But the staff was very friendly ( even drove out to a hole to let us know the thunderstorms were not headed our way AND that the Broncos were winning). Fun course!
The Meadows
I always like playing the Meadows. The course is in great shape right now with the recent rain, nice and soft great for iron shots. I highly recommend playing here. I'll play it again soon!
Fun
Greens are extremely fast and the course is beautiful! Pretty tight and challenging!
The Meadows is Great
I really like the Meadows with a variety of looks with challenging Par 3, 4 and 5s.. Great staff(Ron is starter) ate very helpful too!
This course was fun
Good course, some tough greens to read. Construction was not much of an issue, will surely play this course again
