The South Par-3 Course is one of two par-3, public golf courses that Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills offers. In total there are four courses, varying in length and size, at Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Unlike the 7-hole North Par-3 Course, the South Par-3 has 9 holes and it is 1,060 yards from its longest tees. The course is quite challenging for a par-3. Water hazards come into play on four of the nine holes. It offers excellent practice for those wanting to improve their short game as it tests several different handicaps. Although less demanding than the 18-hole Gold Course, the South Par-3 is a great short course.

9 Fun Holes in a Windstorm
Great variety of holes with water, trees, bunkers all coming into play. I think the greens were a little bumpy, but it's early in the season, so probably not cut often yet. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed playing here and will return. Wind was gusting to over 40 mph, so added another challenge.
Greens were awful and the fringe contains taller grass than the fairways.
Challenging & Beautiful Par 3 course
This is one of the most beautifully designed courses I've played. The first 3 holes are by water features which make it easy to lose a ball and ruin your score. There are 3 holes where I needed to use my driver which is unusual for a par 3. And the 8th hole is surrounded by sand traps with an elevated tee-off point. Great little course. Their 18-hole course is great too.
Hyland Hills South Par 3 Course
I love this course; however, it really needs some sort of restroom along the course. On this day, the restrooms at the driving range were out of order so we couldn't even use the facilities before or after our round.
I would love to see a port-a-potty at least ... we were a little stacked up at a couple holes and the opinion was the same with the other groups - need a restroom!
Great fun Executive Par 3
The layout is so cool on this course. It is early in the season , so I am sure the green will get better. They are pretty good just need some love...
South Par 3 Black course
This is a great course. The staff is usually pretty good on the upkeep but it is early spring so I think the course conditions will get better moving ahead into summer. The greens are not quite smooth like they usually are but it may have to do with the aeration last fall. If you have a beginner golfer this course is perfect to teach club distances and short game. It can also be very challenging for the 3rd or 4th year player. I love this course and have taken several friends that are learning out on it and it equips them for what's to come on a standard course. Highly recommend giving it a shot, don't let the short holes fool you. It's a good way to practice and sharpen your short game!!
Tee off is rip off
We completely overpaid for this course thru
Teeoff. Tried to cancel my reservation but guess what… no one could take my call. Do not use Teeoff. I learned my lesson.
Great Value
We've been here plenty of times and will continue coming. It's a fun course with a great price.
On this particular visit however, the trip was somewhat ruined by somehow catching up to a group that started over an hour before us. Not only did we just catch up, but somehow the group grew to consist of 4 carts, on a walking course, and 8 people. They could not play any slower if they wanted to. To top it off, on the last hole, the last guy to drive off from the hole stole one our balls.
We'll be back for sure. And if it happens again, I guess we'll find out if they'll come out to enforce the rules on their budget course.
Unclean
Friar way and greens always have debris and divot’s especially on the south 9 the ball never rolls in it’s intended path
