The South Par-3 Course is one of two par-3, public golf courses that Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills offers. In total there are four courses, varying in length and size, at Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Unlike the 7-hole North Par-3 Course, the South Par-3 has 9 holes and it is 1,060 yards from its longest tees. The course is quite challenging for a par-3. Water hazards come into play on four of the nine holes. It offers excellent practice for those wanting to improve their short game as it tests several different handicaps. Although less demanding than the 18-hole Gold Course, the South Par-3 is a great short course.

Wonderful Spring Day on 3-par Hyland Hills Course
First time out golfing in March 2021 was fantastic in the 3-par course at Hyland Hills. Check in was easy. The course was in fair shape even though it had snowed and rained recently. Took us an hour to play although it was walking-only.
One of my favorite places to play
We typically play the Par 3 course. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.
The Par 3 is a short course, beautiful, is laid back, and is just a fun day out. We try to go once a week in the summer.
We have only played the Nine and Eighteen holes once each and they are also great! We enjoy this venue very much!
Best par 3 in denver
Easily the best and one of the cheapest par 3’s in Denver metro area
It helps if they are open
I was allowed to make a tee time the night before. However I didn't get notice that they were closed before I left to go to my tee time. I was in the parking lot alone 30 min before my tee time they finally decided to call me and let me know coarse was closed. Personally I like more notice than half the time it takes me to drive there. I went up the road and played greenway park par 3 since they were actually open.
Day of rest
I wanted to spend a day just working on my game. This is a perfect course it offers some yardage, but mostly a mid and short game.
Decent quick round. Rough/slow greens
First 3 holes and hole 8 are very short in length and require no more than a 60degree. Tough course for beginner/intermediate because of water hazards and limited fairways. Some holes are fairly close to apartments so shanks aren’t advisable!
Great course for a great price
I have played Hylands par 3 several times and it never disappoints. It forces you to play not only a better long game, but short game as well (third hole is 65 yards)
Overall, the conditions of the par 3 are subpar at best. But I have noticed that maintenance has been clearing dead trees and shrubs to help clean it up. The Greens need the most work, however. There is dead sections of grass that can make a simple putt, more challenging. Either way, it’s 8 dollars to play. And I feel it’s worth every bit of it. I’m sure I’ll be back next weekend. And then again and again haha
Hyland Par 3
A gem of a par 3 course. Have played the full courses many times and never knew how nice this 9 was!
A few holes 180+ and most challenging and shorter.
Beautiful view on 9 coming in of the mountains to the west.
Bad Weather
Didn't get to play. Raining. I always though recommend the South Par 3 at Hyland Hills. Great fun.
Great par 3!
If you’re looking to work on your short game but still desire a couple of longer holes (200 yards) this is the spot to play. Great scenery, challenging water and sand features, and very accommodating to the first time golfer or the veteran of the game.
