Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills - South Par-3 Course
About
The South Par-3 Course is one of two par-3, public golf courses that Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills offers. In total there are four courses, varying in length and size, at Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Unlike the 7-hole North Par-3 Course, the South Par-3 has 9 holes and it is 1,060 yards from its longest tees. The course is quite challenging for a par-3. Water hazards come into play on four of the nine holes. It offers excellent practice for those wanting to improve their short game as it tests several different handicaps. Although less demanding than the 18-hole Gold Course, the South Par-3 is a great short course.

We'll definitely be back
Great for beginners! We had so much fun and totally worth the value
Relaxed 9-hole Golf
It was-a perfect afternoon at Hyland Hills.from start to finish. The check-in staff was great. The group ahead of us was gracious and let my daughter and me play through. The course was in pretty good shape. The first few holes are short, but make up for it with water hazards. Then the course opens up from there. Note that if you are playing the 9- hole course, you pick up a golf cart at the main clubhouse and then check in nearer the course.
Seriously?!
Talya in the clubhouse is not helpful. Bought carts to play and she didn’t give us the KEY! Kinda hard to drive a cart without a key. Also, didn’t even tell us where to go. The South Par 3 isn’t very newbie friendly and the cart barn guys pointed us to the North Par. Overall fun course.
Beautiful course
Definitely was a beautiful course, one of the best I’ve played at in Colorado. We did the par 3 and felt it was just too short for our game. We did book thinking it was going to be longer but not a big deal at all. We will be back to try the 9 and 18 for sure!
Interesting and Challenging Course
This is probably one of the most challenging Par 3 s in the area. Also super pretty. Only play problem yesterday was the condition of greens, but it’s also early in the season and still a great value for the money.
We’ve been there enough so we know where to go, but not enough to easily figure out where to go next. Needs better signage.
Otherwise, a real treat to play!
For beginners and more advanced
My 9-year-old son and I play this course. It is great for us as beginners. My husband has also played with us, and he enjoys it to practice his short game. The course is kept in great condition. Will definitely be back.
MEH
Course lacks good signage or hole details. Carts were super dirty (ours had used bandaids and cigarette butts in the cupholders). Course was ok layout wise but I wouldn't recommend with all the course options available around town.
Great course for children to be introduced to golf
Took my grandchildren for their first official nine holes. Corse is a simple pitch and putt; flat, no water hazards and only one sand trap. Perfect course for beginners.
Fun day with family
Have played this course a few times. Definitely never use a cart. It's a good course for your average golfer. Will play again
Course added a 4th to our party.
I paid for 4 players so we would not have an add. A young man was told at the 1st tee to join the next 3 since they were behind due to frost delay from the morning. It seemed rude to say no. So, really I overpaid.
They cut the trees
They cut all of the trees and left a mess on the first four holes. The play was slow and the players ahead if us didn't know how to use a trash can. We picked up a couple of used coffee cups. The course needs to send a Marshall to the par 3 .
