The South Par-3 Course is one of two par-3, public golf courses that Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills offers. In total there are four courses, varying in length and size, at Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Unlike the 7-hole North Par-3 Course, the South Par-3 has 9 holes and it is 1,060 yards from its longest tees. The course is quite challenging for a par-3. Water hazards come into play on four of the nine holes. It offers excellent practice for those wanting to improve their short game as it tests several different handicaps. Although less demanding than the 18-hole Gold Course, the South Par-3 is a great short course.

Worst head Pro in the business!
Terribly operated course. Paid for cart and then tokd, we don’t have any available.? I have been coming here since the 1980’s and this will be my last time. Extremely poor management is no excuse for this handicapped individual! ADA compliant? I highly doubt it!
Great for Beginners!
Second time playing here and it's always fun to go with people you've never golfed with before to learn their pace. Truly recommend this for everyone but especially for beginners!

Great fun! Beware though that a few of these holes are not for beginners--e.g., open and rolling fairway, easy approach. To be ultimately successful you have to be able to get some air and distance on your wedges on some of these holes. Beautiful day in a beautiful setting -- had a great time.
Like playing this course. Easy, enjoyable but challenging. For being 71 yrs old this golf course is great. Play Blue course 9.
Great family course
This is a course i can take my family too without having to worry about pace of play. Holes are perfect!
Challenging Par 3 In Westminster
I/m writing this from the persepctive of a new golfer. While most holes are in the 80-120 yd range there are a few closer to 200yds. However, yardage is not the challenge here at Hyland Hills. On the par 3 (south) course, the 1st four holes are water holes requiring an extremely accurate wedge shot to the tee. Too long or too short and you'll lose your ball in the rough, irrigation canal, or pond. The 8th hole is a short wedge to a green surrounded by bunkers... accuracy is the skill most needed on this couse.
The South par 3 course is adjacent to a pleasant driving range.. buy tokens at the pro shop prior to 9:30. or at the kiosk (and par 3 starter shack) at the driving range. A bucket of 30 - good enough for a warm up will cost you $3.00.
The staff were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful.
Great practice course
This was overall a tough practice course with about 80-130 yards with water, sand and revien hazards. You probably only need 3-4 clubs on this course.

Great Par 3
Was great 9 hole Par 3, good pace didn't feel rushed with my kiddos. Friendly staff and well-groomed course.

one of the most challenging par 3 courses that I have played... large trees and water make it hard for a beginner... but they have an easy course for them...

The staff was very friendly and my group was extremely happy as was I will definitely return to play the 18 holes
Sweet par 3
I enjoy this par 3 course it will test your skills.
The staff is always great and the course was perfect!
My round started with a birdie (12" from the cup)!!
My advice, if you don't have time for the regulation 9 this par 3 will satisfy your needs.
Good Short Game Practice
Played the par 3 course in about an hour. Was fairly challenging for me as many of the holes are 90 yards or less. I hit my 60 degree 105, so I had to incorporate a fair amount of half and 3/4 swings. Something I haven't mastered yet. I'll be back as it's a cheap yet fun way to practice your short game, rather than just hitting boring shots at the practice range.
Par 3
This was a fun little Par 3 course. The first few holes were quite short but then you get some distance to hit the ball. Lots of hazards make this course a fun little challenge

My first time playing this course. Great course. Well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this course to anybody. Great times and I'll definitely go again!!!!

Challenging short holes, with water and woods
The first hole on this 3 par course is tricky, because it has water in front and back, and is a tough one to start out on. The longer holes play fairly easy, but all the shorter holes require good placement. There is a hole surrounding by sand (number 8) which lets you work on your sand shots

2 of my buddies and I went we had a great time part 3 course helped a lot on short game some water which was a first for me definitely used the drop zone lol but had a really good time I shot a 49 room for improvement I would definitely play again thanks for the memories
Thought we were playing the 9 hole blue course rather than the South Course.
Not a very good experience - except for the last 3 holes. Gold course is really a great golfing experience - not the South Course. 1st 6 holes kind of cheesy.
