Unlike the 7-hole North Par-3 Course, the South Par-3 has 9 holes and it is 1,060 yards from its longest tees. The course is quite challenging for a par-3. Water hazards come into play on four of the nine holes. It offers excellent practice for those wanting to improve their short game as it tests several different handicaps. Although less demanding than the 18-hole Gold Course, the South Par-3 is a great short course.

Nice course
Great little par 3, 9 hole course. Takes about an hour and a half to play/ walk it. Some of the holes offer a challenge. Played most holes with a pitch and a putter. Took my daughter (11) whom is in the PGA junior league. She took up golfing this year. It was near perfect for her to play. We had a great time.
T Time was delayed 30 minutes
Reserved the 1st TTime of the day but was delayed 30 minutes due to a womens league finishing. Wish they would have mentioned that league plays on Thursday mornings.
South Par 3
Great par 3 course
It was a lot of fun working on my short game. With 9 holes all par 3 I would recommend this course and I would play it again. The food at the bar was really good I had a burger and fries for 17$ not bad.
A Frustrating Experience
I booked the tee time on Hyland's website and choose the GolfNow discounted rate as a prepaid incentive. There was no option for a junior price so I asked for a refund at the course, only to be denied any restitution for the extra $14 I paid online. Don't book through GolfNow because the golf course will not help you in any way. I won't go back because of the course's lack of empathy and ability to solve the problem.
Nice Par 3 Course
Played the Par 3 South course with a junior player. The staff was really helpful with answers to my questions since this was my first visit. The cart paths are well marked, too. The pace of play was just right and didn’t feel rushed playing with a young new golfer. Our electric cart was well equipped with ball and club cleaners, GPS, and a FM radio. Will definitely play here again.
Gotta keep playing
Having issues with my game due to recent injury. So I'm on the hunt for par3 courses just so I keep swinging.
For a par3, this was a good challenge, I was amused by the first two holes because you hit over water. And I watched player after player drop it in the water. So I'm guessing most playing the course were not seasoned players yet.
The long holes come later and by then, my swing slowed down and I took too many shots to get on the green. My bad.
I shall play again. And I will play the regulation courses as well.
Fun Par 3
1,2,5 are short (under 90) and tight.
3 is a bit longer and tight.
4 is fun, plays about 120-125 with a larger pond.
6, 7,9 are a blast all over 150 and range from tight to open.
8 is an island green of sorts as it is surrounded by bunkers.
The South Par 3 is a great hour for a $12 walk.
Pace of Play
The pace of play this day was slow. We had a group of 3 men ahead of us and then a group of 8 ladies playing as 1 team. Made for a lot of waiting at tee boxes. The twosome behind us were not particularly patient either.
South Par 3
My friend and I went this week. The weather was perfect, the course was well-kept. We are beginners and really enjoyed all the holes.
The tee times ran right on time and everyone was friendly. We are already planning our next round there.
NEED DIRECTIONS
This is a wonderful little par 3 with challenging holes. I got lost between 7 and 8. There are no signs and the path disappears on 7. Directions on the course and to the course from the clubhouse would be great. Cart signs would be OK also.
First time
Just came out for some practice on the south par 3 course and had a great time. Played with some folks out for a good time and reminded me how golf should be. Enjoy the sunshine, root for each other, and don’t take it or yourself to seriously.
Fun little course
This course is fun for everyone as well as I am trying to get my kids into golf. We have played the course twice now, and the price for me and 2 kids is ridiculously cheap, but I believe it is cheap because they are making money by selling the golf balls collected out of the water hazards on this course. I am just kidding of course, but with new golfers expect to lose a golf ball or a dozen on the water hazards. What is nice about this course is that they do have a couple of holes that the kids can break out their drivers on as long as they aren’t already crushing the ball.
