About
The Gold Course from Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is the only 18-hole course at the facility. Designed by Frank Hummel, the course opened in 1959 and used to include the 9 holes of the Blue Course as the front nine. Currently however, both the Gold and the Blue are separate courses. The landscape of the Gold is hilly and seven ponds create a beautiful atmosphere while also adding challenging water hazards to eleven holes. Although the entire course is scenic, the 12th hole is considered to have the most picturesque views. Its elevated tee offers gorgeous vistas of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is known not only for its gorgeous scenery, it has also received acclaim from golf publications such as Golf Digest.

Fun round in great conditions
Course is in great shape (especially the greens). For a Sunday (Father's Day), surprisingly finished the round in 4 hours. Was not expecting that. Pin placements were challenging for this round, but overall a fun experience.
Great Round
Played an early round on Sunday which was also Fathers Day. The team did a great job keeping everything on track. The course was in great condition. New upgraded GPS carts are a great add. Only comments are 1)would be great to not have to hit off mats at the range 2)service was a little slow at the turn. No cart girl due to Fathers Day tournament which makes sense. Will be back soon and often.
Fun and beautiful course! Just slow
Played the golf course. It was difficult enough to make it a fun challenge, but still scoreable. Place was super slow, but somewhat expected for a Saturday. Overall definitely recommend !
Great place to play golf and enjoy the scenery.
This course is a hidden gem. Excellent condition for a very reasonable price. I hope they don’t change a thing.
Fix the pace of play please
The pace of play is awful. 3 groups on one hole due to overbooking and no starter.
There was bulk fertilization being done the morning we chose to play. It wasn't on the start up page but the calendar. I would suggest checking a few places on the website to ensure there is no maintenance occurring. We had a 10:30 tee time and went off on time. Hyland Hills has installed GPS in their golf carts so the pace of play can be monitored as well as out of bounds. The cart will shut off. There were grounds crew putting sod down on the fairway on 11 so we had to play around them. Overall a good time and will go back.
What's with the range?
The range here really needs some help. It's one thing to be hitting off of mats in June. But the range balls here are terrible. It doesn't make any sense given how busy the range is. Just seems like they aren't willing to re-invest into the range here.
The golf course itself is in great condition.

The course is in great shape. Very windy today made it challenging.
No Ranger
Play was extremely slow. with no rangers on the course, pace of play was very slow. Was not able to get through the full 18 holes we paid for, .
Please fix the toilet seat, in the outhouse between 6 & 15.
The seat has been loose for 5 years!
Great course for the money
Way better then the other courses in the same price range
