White, 2nd, par-3, 226. Playing downhill from an elevated tee, this is what a good par-3 should be. Big, frontal bunkers are hidden from view here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

The Rookie
Not my first time at this course and it sure won’t be my last I think it’s a great value nice layout fun to play
Great day
Good course. Great value. Staff was very accommodating.
Don’t play
The worst condition course I have ever played. 14.00 for 18 holes, left after 9. Course was that bad. Played years ago and it was a lot better back then.
Cow Pasture
The tee boxes and fairways were terrible. The pace of play was very slow because folks in front of me needed lessons as they hit the ball all over the place. I quit after 9 holes and got a rain check which I did not use. This course used to be very well kept...not any more.
Hole in one
On the Blue Course I aced #17 for my first “Hole in One” after 60 years of golfing. Yay! How could I not give a good review?
Always a good play, course needs TLC
Overall a fun challanging course to play. 18 holes for 16 dollars on a hot deal...cant beat that!! Fairways and tee boxes need lots of attention. Spoke to a groundskeeper and due to lack of rain and possible landscaping of new homes, they have held off, only saving the greens which were hard as steel.
Would come back however they need to bring life back to the playing field
Revitalizing an Excellent Layout
The layout is strong here and it should be (with better conditioning) one of Connecticut’s higher ranked public venues.
I played this course in mid-August, and really enjoyed the quality of golf, but the course was then merely in fair shape: several bad tees, some poor fairways—only the greens were consistently respectable.
Since then, however, it is clear that the greenskeepers have been doing considerable work to revitalize it. Today, only a couple of fairways on the blue nine were still problematic (1 and 5), and only one was still poor (7) on the white nine, although this fairway had turned quite a bit greener since August. Most of the tees were in better condition—some far better—though a few were still patchy in places.
The greens are now in very good shape—they, too, have improved. They are running very smoothly and true. Overall, the course looks much greener and is rounding back into shape. It looks like the staff has overcome earlier problems with loss of irrigation, so things are definitely looking up.
Course condition/pace of play
The course was in very poor condition, we were forced to play the blue course twice because the red and white course was too busy. We caught up to a foursome on the 5th hole and were waiting so long that we skipped the whole. When we finished the first 9 holes we complained about the pace and were told " we know but we can't do anything about it" at that point we decided that we had enough and left. A good way to spoil a perfectly good day.
Best Deal
This was my 8th time playing this course and it is still fun. Its a great course to practice hitting drives. The course is wide open and lots of fun.
Sad
Course conditions were horrible. Dead and dying fairways. I have been coming here for years and have always looked forward to playing here because it was a nice track. Not anymore
neglect
I have played the 3 courses a bout twice a year for the pastseveral years & found it in good condition until yesterday.routine mantainance has been ignored, probably because of upcoming real estate plans. I will not return in the forseeable future.
This course needs lots of work.
Greens are in good condition.
Rest of the course is severely distressed.
Looks like the owner wants to unload it because it is obvious that very little money is being put into it for proper maintenance.
Course in poor shape.
Terrible tee boxes and fairways are all hard pan and burnt out. Sad ownership has let course get in this condition. Barely playable fairways. Used to be a nice course. Not even worth the $29 rate to play.
Blue fox
Played both white & blue courses. Most tee boxes were chewed up. Parts of some fairways were dry & dead. Perhaps there's an irrigation problem.
Weekday round
Course in good shape. First time played here this year.
Golf Shop personal friendly and professional. Pace of
play was excellent. Definitely play here again.
What a mess
This could have been the worst conditioned course I have ever played for money. The tee boxes did not exist -and the fairways were awful. It was cheap 23 per round, but it was scary bad..
Best deal
In a area where there are tons of golf options blue fox is by far the best deal. Pace of play is great thanks to the 27 holes. It’s a fun course to play with friends because it is not to hard. Won’t lose a golf ball here either which is great! Highly recommend
Golf Nut
Skip this course no matter the price. Played 18 with a cart for 17.00 today. Horrible condition course. Played 20 years ago and it was no where near this bad. Probably the worst course I’ve ever played and I’ve been playing for almost 60 years.
