White, 2nd, par-3, 226. Playing downhill from an elevated tee, this is what a good par-3 should be. Big, frontal bunkers are hidden from view here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

It is a shame
Like so many courses in the area, this once pristine course is in terrible shape. The shrinking golf industry and plethera of courses are turning golf havens in golf shame. Courses cannot afford the appropriate maintenance and this course is no exception. The firways are in poor shape, the greens are just OK, and areas that were once manicured are left to grow in as thickets that are in play of wayard shots. The layout is interesting but the experience is poor.
Hot deal 20 for 18 with a cart was awesome
Good course- greens were pretty good too- tee boxes slightly chewed and/or sparse grass/ overall it's not bad at all for under 40 I'd recommend it
Also easy to score well since all par 3s are short and straight and par 4s are 320-360, driver wedge course lets you score well!
Par 5s are legit 5s
Be Prepared
There was no starter. We played 15 out of 18 holes as the pace of play became sheer torture. Two male walkers took forever and there was NO ranger anywhere in sight to move these two along as they held everyone up. None of the tee boxes had worthwhile grass to hit off. There were many bare spots on every fairway; it seemed like some sort oof infestation occurred. Greens were OK. Be prepared to have your kidneys worked over as there are only bare extremely rough roads from green to the next tee. Very very disappointing.
A let down from my expectations
The course was not in great condition many tee boxes were in poor shape and the greens were okay.
Enjoyable Round
My wife and played 18 holes yesterday - white and blue nines. Though there were foursomes and twosomes interspersed, the pace of play was great and we played in 3 hr. 20 minutes. The greens were in very good condition, the fairways were ok, but the bunkers and rough were scruffy. Beautiful views of Talcott Mountain and the Picking Patch are plusses. Good practice facilities, friendly staff. I found out that seniors can play at any time for $35/pp with cart - great value.
Red / white 18
This course was a little out of my area, but with a hot deal I couldn't pass it up. The course didn't disappoint. We were able to tee off right away, and the pace was great. A little confusing navigating through the holes because of how the red and white courses intertwined. But if after another round there I imagine that's not going to be an issue. Overall I had a great round and the surrounding views were pretty awesome!
Nice course combination
Variety of skills needed to be used on this 3 set of 9 holes. There are different elevation, some holes play farther than it seem. The green are true, flat and green, we see maintenance people checking the green and fairway and water them constantly. So they are nice to play on, even in this 93°C heat. People are friendly.
Good value
An average course but a good value.
I A n
The big issue is there are 27 holes. We were told to start on red then go to white. When we made the turn for groups on the white tea. They were plain white to blow. I would've done that if I could've kept us moving. Played the red in an hour and a half that it was three hours to finish from there Traps were in bad shape. Not fun at all
Solid Course
So depending on the day, you might play one of three 18 hole courses, combining two of the three of the red, white, and blue nines. The Red Nine is extremely short and easy. The White Nine is the most interesting and the Blue Nine is the hardest but the most straight forward. The course is in fairly good shape the only tough thing is the cart paths aren't paved, and the bridge over the Farmington River has barely been touched in over twenty years. It makes Laurel View's ride to the 18th hole seem extremely safe in comparison. Overall a good value especially for the $20 Hot Deal
Open floor plan.
Plenty of room for the casual golfer.
Lots of fun.
Lots of fun. The old holes have matured. The new ones could use some definition and it would be a gem.
Extremely Slow Play
Teed off on a Saturday morning for a 5 hour 45 minute round where we waited on literally every shot. Course layout and condition would have me play it again but I would avoid the weekend based on this experience.
Average at best
The course was in OK shape for this time of year. The greens were not smooth as they they had recently been aerated. Fairways were not very good either. Not worth the price.
sunny but breezy
nice day for golf, course in nice condition for spring golf
27 holes of fun...
mix , and match 9's ...red, blue and white...blue course is the longest and par 36...white a little shorter, par 36 and the red is shorter, par 34 but challenging enough...
Lots of Hazards
This was a very challenging course on a hot day. There were many hazards. I couldn't think of a single hole that I didn't have to hit over water, wasteland grass, or bunkers. In fact most holes you'd have to hit a good distance over wasteland grass AND the green would be guarded by very deep and wide bunkers. Nice pace of play and nice course conditions. The course has a lot of character and the blue and white(the two I played) were distinctive with the white on converted farmland and the blue on a more traditional wooded area. My only complaint is that it's hard to get around! I don't know how many times we were riding around saying "where's the next hole?". There is signage but to me that is something that should always be crystal clear. Definitely plan to go back soon!
nice course, staff below par
regular senior players are arrogant and rude. Food staff slow and incompetent. No ranger to prevent groups cutting.
Course in very good shape. greens roll true, bunkers maintained
Fun day of golf
Played the Blue Tees as the course is short from the whites. Red 9 gives lots of birdie opportunity and the White 9 gives lots of bogey opportunities!! Greens hold and roll well, fairways ok and lots of 10 inch grasses in the rough to toughen up the course. Fun to play.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Playing a scramble tournament here on Sunday, red&white course. Can you give a little more detail on condition? They're known for always having soft slow greens and fairways kinda fuzzy, not tightly mown.
