Blue:Second, par-4, 430. A hole that plays straightaway, but with an emphasis on length. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

Blue: Fourth, par-4, 449. Long and tough, but also beautiful (as seen from its right flank). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

White, 2nd, par-3, 226. Playing downhill from an elevated tee, this is what a good par-3 should be. Big, frontal bunkers are hidden from view here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

White, 3rd, par-4, 303. This hole can be driven by big hitters. Here is its green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

White: 5th, par-5: My favorite hole rolls as if it’s part of a links and affords a view of Hueblein Tower, 165 ft tall, atop the hill. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/31/2021

Red, Second; Par 4, 309. This dogleg left hole finishes at an elevated and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021

Red, 7th: Par 3, 201. Threats are presented by a bunker right, big pine tree left (unseen here), and--if you slice it, a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021

Red, 8th: The general parkland character of BFR, typified by this fairway--looking back to the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021
-
White, 5th, 512: Parkland transforms to a links-like feel on the White, with this fantastic par-5 epitomizing that aura. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021
-
White, 8th, par-5, 600. Fair enough from tee to green, eight turns downright ornery around the green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/23/2021

Third, Red Nine: The threesome in front of me was enjoying their nine-hole round. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/26/2020

Eighth, Red: Straightaway and long five-par, for most a three shotter. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/26/2020

Ninth, Red: The drive to this short par-four’s fairway is as tight as it looks. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/26/2020

would come back again.
We come to Connecticut for two weeks every year to visit our daughter.
Last time we played Blue Fox was eight years ago when it was under construction.
Went and played it this year and loved it. Both the Red and White courses were in excellent shape. We hope to play it again before we leave Connecticut this year. Will definitely play it next year.
Nice course great deal
After rough winter and flooding thaw this course was in as good of shape as can be expected. Greens were just aerated and sanded but the $22.00 for 18 w/cart made it more than worth it.
blue fox run
The course suffered some winter damage on quite a few fairways and greens, but other than that the course is in good shape......the greens were rolling really nice!!! Best greens I have played on this year!
If you can play the course on a golf now deal it is deff worth the $29 for 18 and a cart
Great value, very nice late season conditions
Found a $12 deal for 18 holes and a cart. Very nice late season conditions on a cool crisp day.
Great fall golf
In good shape for this time of year. Hope to get out a few more times before the snow comes
blue fox
good course ,great price and in excellent condition.not a leaf in site
Blue fox run
The overall course conditions were fair to above average the pace of play was slow .older golfer s with delusions of hitting par 5 s in 2.most upsetting were 2 female staff members who liked to share their versions of course etiquette in between holes .it was offensive considering the cost of the rounds and the age of the staff . I probably won't go back or recommend this place because of these staff members
BLUE FOX
Played front nine on blue course. Greens were very good. 7,8,and 9 were a bit tricky.
Played Red 1-9 on turn. Shorter course but not easy.
Course was fine, wish my game was....
Played 18 in under three hours !
Slow Slow Slow
Played this course on Saturday and we were at 5 hours at the 16th hole. Called the ranger due to the 4-some in front of us hitting practice shots but the staff were non-responsive. We ended up skipping the 16th hole and didn't play the full 18. Food was ok, pretty sure I got overcharged but the course itself was in good condition and it would have been a course I would return to if the staff were more responsive and friendlier.
Awesome course!
Excellent course, would definitely play again and again! Challenging and in great shape. Sand in bunkers were a little too hard on some holes but that seems to be the average for these types of courses around the area.
Love this place
Blue course- original, very long, island hole (par 3) which is pretty fun...
Red- short, but really fun. Some short par 3's, and a couple really long par 5's make it interesting. Hitting over a swamp hazard on 4 of the 9 holes which makes it interesting.
White- have never done well on this set of 9. Lol... I intimidating to say the least. Greens are tough... Have fun!
Deserves Better
I just wanted to give a positive review to a course i play once or twice a month during the summer, usually during twilight. It seems strange to me that Tunxis has almost 100 reviews and is rated over a 4.0, while this course is a 2.0 here with only a few reviews. Since I find that they are very similar golfing experiences.
There are 3 nines here and if you are a better than average golfer i would definitely recommend requesting to play the blue-white 9's rather than the red. As the red is pathetically short and contains the two worst holes at blue fox, #2 and #9 which are severe doglegs.
The conditions while certainly nothing special, are usually reliably good and there are 4 sets of tees which is nice because many courses like this one only contain 3.
Overall i would call this a solid choice for a round when you are in the Farmington valley area, and which i would say is right on par with Tunxis and Simsbury Farms.
good value
The course was in good shape, greens rolled true, tee boxes were in good shape. Rough could use alittle love lots of clover but all in all it was a solid course and would play it again.
A scrappy place
The course, cart paths, carts, and clubhouse are in rough condition. Don't waste your money....There are much better courses within 5 miles of here.
Great Place
Went out in August with brother-in-law on a golfnow deal. Was a rainy morning and we had the run of the place to ourselves. Course didn't play long (from the blues) even though it had rained. Greens ran true and there are some really great elevation changes etc. If you are in the Avon area go here.
It use to be a great course
Play was fast but there was no one there. But if you play a tournment there it will take 6 hours to play because they love to dubble and tripple book the person whoi runs the place has no clue to what he is doing. And it is amaizing that they do not have a class A golf pro there.
