Club house run down
Course was great, challenging greens, nice carts. But amenities poor ladies room needs to be renovated. Club house needs a facelift inside and out. But I'm going to play there again as I liked the course.
WoodHeaven
Challenging course with elevation changes, several tight fairways with sloping greens in the spirit of Donald Ross.
Greens, tees and fairways in excellent condition without any disease damage over the past two seasons.
Pace of play is good and staff very professional and friendly.
Picturesque forest, lakes and wildlife.
My piece of heaven.
Slow Greens
Greens are brutally slow and shaggy. You have to ram every putt full force, which takes away the finesse of putting. Slowest greens in the area.
Met the owner. Very unfriendly guy.
Beware
Weekend tee times are not spaced far enough apart. Further, course has removed dress code. These factors, combined with lower greens fee cost, result in a bunch of amateurs with limited ability clogging up the course. It's not possible to play 9 holes in less than 2.5 hours unless you're playing early (i.e., FIRST). Also, a ridiculous number of gnats abound on the first 5 holes - so many that it's almost impossible to get them out of your face when hitting a shot. No ranger to be found for keeping pace of play up, either. You're going to see a lot of people out here who have no business being on a golf course.
After that, course conditions are average. Bunkers don't seem to get much attention, and greens are kept long - although with the amount of slope on them, that's not horrible.
This course is well maintained
Tucked away in the woods, it’s definitely worth playing. The greens were immaculate, but particularly slow. Overall, the course is maintained really well.

Dangerous Day
Woodhaven is and always has been well maintained. The greens are challenging and at times frustrating, but not impossible.
Today was very crowded with slow play. A ranger is needed. Bring back Josie who was personable and did a great job!
I’ve never heard fore yelled so many times during nine holes and other bad shots nearly hitting us with no warning call. Players need to play from the appropriate tee box according to their ability.
As a senior citizen living on a fixed income, it was disappointing to miss the senior rate because of a 11:50 am tee time instead of noon. Yet we didn’t tee off until after 12:00 pm.
Better course management is needed if you wish to avoid a big drop in rounds played.
