3rd, par-4, 374 (blues): The fairway plays a bit uphill to this well guarded green. Water, hidden from view here, is to the left. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/29/2022

4th, par-4, 435: Outstanding Al Zikorus-designed hole, featuring a rolling fairway and a green set upon a knoll. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/29/2022

6th, par-5, 570. A long 5-par. It will be a three-shotter for almost everyone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/29/2022

7th: par-4, 370. Woodhaven is a strong test of driving. Here, the downhill tee shot is tight, the approach more routine. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/29/2022

8th: par-3, 180. A tough tee shot faces you on this mid-range 3-par. Long is generally not good; left is worse. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/29/2022

9th, par-4, 400. The finisher favors a tee shot aimed down the left-hand side of this fairway, which tilts a bit left-to-right. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/29/2022

Great place to play
I love this course. Great layout. I can often walk on as a single. The course is challenging and the greens are huge and difficult. Great friendly staff - reallt a great spot to play in New Haven!!!
Always a pleasure playing this course. It really is a hidden gem. Some of the tougher greens around esorcially as the weather gets warmer and they dry out. Great place to get in 9 holes
Lot's of good
Great deal through GolfNow for 1st 9 of the season. Course in very good shape.. Had not played here in a decade and enjoyed the layout. Tough greens but fair. Bit inconsistent but in very good shape. Keep your ball below the hole..
Staff was friendly. Very nice.. One strange thing.. It was a Sunday afternoon and I arrived 45 minutes early. Empty tee box at #1 and not a soul in sight. Starter came by and had me wait until my tee time in case some one else showed up to pair me with so I waited 15+ minutes on an empty tee box with an empty hole waiting for ?.... After a while starter (who was very nice) came back and said I could go alone.. An hour and 10 minutes later I was off the course.. No idea why I was held up on an empty course. Maybe because it was a GolfNow tee time ? Who knows...
Regardless, would I go back? For sure... Nice fun course with lot's of chances to make shots.. And staff was very nice just strange to be held up for 20 minutes waiting for no one....
Scenic nine holes
It is a always a pleasure playing at Woodhaven. We made last minute plans after a lot of rain the day before. The course dried out fine and the weather was great. I was happy with my 43.
Always A Good Time
I play this course frequently throughout the year. It is always in great shape, the greens are challenging, and the staff very friendly. My "go to" course whenever I want to get 9 holes in.
Scenic nine holes
Always a pleasure playing at Woodhaven. One of the best public nine hole courses in the area.
Woodhaven course challenging
The course greens were in a great shape. Putts rolled like it was in prime season.
The layout is very challenging with the undulating greens. Traps appeared in good shape, racks were out but fortunately I didn't have to use any rakes.
I teed off around 350ish. Caught a single on hole two and paired up at hole 6 we paired up with 2some behind us.
For March 31st here in New England it was a gorgeous day. Windy and cold but with the sun it was gorgeous hence the many players on the course.
Highly recommend this course for anyone. Appropriate for any skill level.
Good Time
Great local 9 hole course with some challenging greens on every hole.
Great course after school
Overall, it was enjoyable playing thanks to friendly staffs, good course conditions, and reasonable price. It is good place to spend time with your friends when you are half day off even though greens are very challenging.
Great value. Tough greens!!
Always a good time. Very difficult greens. Definitely needs some updates. Broken ball washers and old carts but worth a round.
My friends and I have been playing this course for years. It's a good 9 hole course with a good layout and very challenging greens. Nice folks run it and keep it up well. My only complaint is flying gnats that show up each summer and are there for a long time. I don't know if there is a solution but they're a nuisance.
Great little course but.......
Played here on 9/23/17 weather was perfect the course was in great shape the greens were some of the best I have ever played on but.... the BUGS were out of control. Swarms of bugs all over course...if you play bring a LOT of BUG Spray if you forget ask the starter they have it with them. Will play again maybe when it gets cooler and not so buggy.
Not a bad place but has a no kid under 12 policy
I do like this course and think its good to play. Greens are in good shape and can be very tough at times.
Problem came when I wanted to take my son out to play. The course does not allow kids under 12 to play (b/c of insurance reasons). This is very disappointing and will be taking my business else where.
Great value for a hidden gem
If it weren't for the last few holes where we got backed up, I would have given 5 stars for my experience. If you have the opportunity, Woodhaven is a must play. The greens belong at the top 100 courses in the country. Will return.
staff very friendy and accomodating
I played with a friend of mine who had just undergone chemo therapy and had not played all year and the staff allowed us to go off earlier than our scheduled tee time so as not to have to wait around. It was much appreciated and we will return to play again for sure. Steve
Great local course
Always in great shape. Challenging course. These are some of the toughest greens around but roll true
