Richter Park Golf Course
About
Situated at the heart of Fairfield County, Richter Park Golf Course is situated along the West Lake Reservoir. The course has been ranked among not only the top ten golf courses in Connecticut but also as one of the top 25 public courses in the country. The course sprawls across more than 180 acres of gently rolling hills. Water has a prominent presence throughout, with the Reservoir bordering seven holes on the front nine and water hazards coming into play on a total of 14 holes. In addition to the water, there are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, which can make it a tough golf course to play your first time. Be prepared for a few blind shots. Richter Park's signature hole, the par-5 12th, is bordered by Boggs Pond. Your third shot will be over water to a bunkered green.

One of my favorite courses
Very nice course, Lots of water so bring extra balls. The round included a small bucket of range balls. I wish i wasnt so far from course but well worth it. The staff are very friendly.
Beautiful course. Excellent staff.
Located on a series of lakes/reservoirs the views are stunning. For a public track it is a great place to play. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent. All in all a wonderful experience.
Great Course and Experience But Old Challenges Linger
I love this course and it is a great experience with a great staff and facilities. However, the 15th (4) and 16th (5) holes are still in difficult condition and poor drainage makes play very difficult. This is a lingering problem from many years ago and needs to be attended to, Also the rough overall was over-grown and the cut was inconsistent on many holes. This made for unexpected problems and added a stroke each time it was encountered..
Course was good the T boxes alittle annoying had humps wasn’t flat but it’s the beginning of the season which we alll understood. The guy in pro shop when we checked in was very nice friendly the restaurant after the round was also awesome it was just the T boxes which was the problem but like I said it’s the beginning of the season and next time we play there it will be much better. But absolutely I and the guys that were in my party will be back to play here again
The course was in very good condition, staff was very friendly.
Pace of play
It took FIVE HOURS to play this round. The foursome that was 2 groups ahead of us had three holes open in front of them. There was a ranger cruising around the course, but he apparently didn’t say anything to the foursome. Very frustrating.
Not worth full price
I only played becausd i vot a deal. Reminded why i do t play jere. Onditiins in onstent and not great, slow pace of play and some very strange holes. Also so.e pretty ones, but not worth full ffeivhf
