Paying in season rates for off season play. One of the worst overall golf experiences I ever had.
One of the worst overall golf experiences I ever had. Wet grass clippings accumulated on fairways and wet leaves blown off fairways and only partially off the rough. Significantly overpriced. I paid in-season prices to play in off-season conditions, including mandatory shotgun start at 8:15 AM on a cold, wet, overcast day in late October. Although the course advertises off-season rates, I was charged in-season rates. I called three times to request a refund but received the runaround and was told not to expect credit for the overcharge. The Pro Shop personnel are not honoring their website advertised fees.

Always great!
Ridgefield never disappoints! From the friendliness of the staff, to the course conditions, to the pace of play, Ridgefield should be a model of how public courses are run.
Great Course, terrible pace
Completed front 9 in 2hrs, made the turn to find the 10th hole backed up with people playing 9 holes. THREE HOURS LATER we finished in the dark. Course is in great shape. Staff is friendly, but their practice of selling 9 hole tee times off the back 9 ruined the experience.
Excellent Hot Deal value via GolfNow. Fairways were in ok condition. Greens ok. Back 9 more challenging. Liked close hole to hole layout for faster pace. Had a really nice day.
Aerated Greens, but no warning on their website......there's nothing worse.
I don't care whether you are booking a tee time for a high-end course, or just an average course,
there is nothing worse than a course failing to alert their potential customers about the fact that the greens have just been aerated. I know why they do it, of course......they know that MANY people wouldn't come play for a few weeks until the greens heal, BUT it is dishonest to not fully disclose the course conditions.
Wonderful Course
Great course and fair pace of play.
Beware that they only let 3 carts per group maximum.
this courses has a beautiful layout
The course, fairways and green are in excellent shape.
Some fairways are wide and some narrow. great variety to accommodate player of all skill levels.
The staff treated me as if I was a member. has a country club atmosphere at public course prices
Grouchy Golf Folk
I've played this course a dozen or more times. My complaint: the staff is not all that welcoming. It's one of those 'we're doing you a favor taking your money and lettting you play here.' Nonethelsee, it is a nice course.
Great course!!!
One of the nicest public courses Connecticut !!! Unbelievable value and friends that. Great place to play for any level of experience...
Grant,
Very Nice Course
I've played here 3 times and it is a very nicely maintained course. Played weekdays when it didn't seem too hard to get out. Pace was great and you see the rangers often. Greens are in very nice shape. Definitely want to make score on the front 9 as the back has some challenging plays for the high handicapper. I've walked the course and it was a bit of a challenge but definitely doable. Good food service available. Just a few minutes drive from Danbury Fair Mall.
Nice courese and friendly service
The course was in good shape. We got to tee off about 20 minutes ahead of time as we were done hitting some balls on the range and went to the first hole. The starter communicated with the starter at the tenth hole and he had nobody there at the time. They let us do the back nine first and this ended up saving us valuable time as we had a lightning delay of about 45 minutes later. Course had some pretty short par 3's. Only one par 5 on the front 9. Staff was very friendly. Food was good quality and a very large selection of beer. Liked it and definitely will be back!!
