Good Day
Our foursome had a great day .With the threat of rain an thunderstorm we played a quick 18. We're pushed or held up all day.
Wheeler Cone A Long Way
The course has improved over the years. I learned to play golf here. Greens very slow! Course is short from the tips but the 5s are long! Short 4s. Short 3s. Black course is harder I think. Easy to get on and great value for price.
Fairchild Wheeler Red
On a Memorial Day weekend played a Saturday 12 noon round in three and a half. Course in great shape some fairways wet in small areas. Greens perfect. Carts give great yardage info. Would say tough to walk - hilly. Will play again.
great course
the course is in great shape. greens are excellent condition. challenging yet not punishing. very friendly people
Enjoyable course
It is certainly early in to the year but the have put some effort in clearing debris and leavyys from the course
Cold day-
Have played here few times and by far the fastest round ever. Cold and windy made for tearing through for a change. Like the layout. Well designed with some nice challenges.
Great to get play in January
The course was in pretty good shape for being January in CT. There were patches of snow and balls bounced over greens but they let us use carts on this hilly course. We really appreciated being able to get out when almost every other course in the area was closed.
My late fall and winter choice
Fun track to go out and have some fun.
Greens were naturally slow due to the season. But the ball rolls very well. Great pizza and bar after the round.
Value
Player friendly layout. We’ll maintained. Limited number of bunkers encouraged a good pace of play. Greens pitted true.
Play
The course was good but the play was really slow a 4th some two groups in front of us was so slow they had 4 empty holes in front of them no rangers to be seen so a 4 hour round took 5.5 hours
Red or Black, it is like playing in a cow pasture.
Both courses have lousy layouts and suffer from negkect. Bridgeport has no money, and golf courses are low on the priority list.
Better than I remember
Course was in decent shape. More challenging than I remember. Got done in 4 hours and 25 minutes. Would have been done earlier but had slow group in front. Ranger needed to move them along. Good value for the $. Starter is a surly guy.
