Solid course - not worth +$100 though

Day started off fine till there was no starter at the tee and we waited 5 minutes with no one coming and saw a 2 some cut in front of us. So we walked to the tee box and waited for them to get to the green only for the starter to complain to us. It’s not our fault you were away from your post and people were going ahead of us. His attitude was just not it from that point forward. Now for the course, it’s solid but nothing memorable. The fairways are in great condition. Some tee boxes are beat up already and the greens are pitted with ball marks (disrespectful golfers must play here often). It’s a nice course overall I just wish the round started better and the greens weren’t pitted. Also the pace was awful due to so many 2 somes being let out.

The Rose is maturing nicely

Old Bridge - The Rose is a great new course. The course is challenging and forgiving all at the same time. This is my 4th time playing there and Ryan and his team are creating a real gem and a great playing experience.

OLD BRIDGE GC

Love this course. Pace of play, for this round, was pretty slow. Cart path only due to heavy rain the night before. Otherwise, course was in great shape!

A Beautiful Madness in the Pines of Old Bridge

Old Bridge Golf Club is no country club cupcake. No. This is a wide-open hallucination—green grass stretched out like an airstrip for madmen with drivers, and greens so big they feel like landing zones for alien spacecraft. You stand on the tee and think, “Heck yes, I can bomb it here.” And you can. But don’t get cocky, friend. This place bites back.

The fairways are wide, yes, and the course looks friendly enough at first glance—like a Labrador in a necktie. But there’s madness in the details: greens that roll like the floor of a Vegas casino, bunkers positioned by some cunning sadist, and enough wind to whisper doubts into your skull by the turn.

This isn’t punishment—it’s play. Glorious, fast-paced, dopamine-soaked fun. The kind of course that reminds you why we chase this stupid game in the first place. You’ll walk off 18 laughing, sunburned, and maybe a little crazier than you were before. God bless Old Bridge. I’ll be back with a cooler and a fresh box of balls.

The Rose

Been getting a little hate for the higher prices but I think it’s the best in the area when you compare Apple to apples.

Rose could be better

Course getting a ton of play. No one replacing divots or fixing pitch marks. Great layout and good staff, ranger needs to do a better job moving people along. 2 open holes in front of the group in front of us.

It is a New Course

The Rose is new. Greens are still fast. You can be in a shooting gallery on 2, 4, 5, 6, 16, 17, 18. 4, 5, 6, 16, 17, 18 can boarder on dangerous with shots flying everywhere and carts and golfers on wrong holes and fairways. Keeps your heads up as you do not always get a fire warning. Especially with people coming out of the woods on 4, 5, 6. All In all it is a nice course, a tad highly priced at $114 on the weekend. Staff was awesome as always. Pace was behind due to some early rain. All In all, nice course, its not Neshanic or Heron Glen.

Wet

Unfortunately it was cart path only due to some rain previously.. wet fairways..course doesn’t drain that well. Much of the cart path still unpaved. Otherwise a nice course with challenging holes. Some pin locations made putting bit tougher.

Btw, was very surprised to see a message on the cart gps screen that read “if using restroom, please step into the woods so our neighbors do not see”!

Great course w a good price

The only local course to me has always been Colts Neck GC. It’s great to have a couple options now. The drive range and giant putting green are nice to have before a round. The pro shop is basically a mini golf shop. The course is always in great condition, It’s nice to see them putting money into the course. Always makes me feel better about spending $80-90 for a round. Golf has gotten expensive over the past few years but it is what it is. These greens are always tough. I can be on in regulation every hole and still end up 10 over par. I never take gimmies so I’m 3 putting a lot on this course. You’re always dealing with a double to triple break going up down and uphill again. Greens are like playing putt putt every hole.

I keep coming back though!
