Worth the trip with a hot deal.
Took the trains from Long Island and Nj transit. Played the course last year in October and the leaves were ridiculous. Played yesterday with no leaves and it was great. There is enough room of the tee, but the greens are very challenging. Humps, bumps, slopes, it was a wild ride. The people behind the desk were incredibly nice. The downside is that there is virtually no concessions. The place is screaming for a restaurant. No liquor license. Tell me what politician too pay off. Beautiful sitting area off the first tee with tables, but with no food or drink what good is it. Overpriced at 94 bucks during the week and 114 on the weekend. Monmouth county is golf rich with great courses at prices that are half of Old bridge, but it is worth it once a year.
Sandy
Course was full of sand in the fairways. So much so that you needed to roll the ball around to pinch shots.
Love this place
I enjoy playing Old Bridge every chance I get. I like the layout, especially the short par-5s. The huge undulating greens are a fun challenge too. The staff is outstanding. And I never have an issue with pace of play. But please, PLEASE repair your ball marks. They’re working hard to make this one of the best public courses in the area. Taking 30 seconds to repair your ball marks or replace a divot is the least you can do to help them out. Crazy how many we fixed around the greens as we played, and we were one of the first groups out that morning.
Great
Stand up staff and a stand up course
wide open fairways
the course is in pretty good condition for the summer we have had. the only issue I see is players not repairing divots, or putting sand down, otherwise the fairways are wide open with plenty of hills and slopes, the greens will definitely test your putting skiils. will return for another round.
Good course
Course conditions were good throughout. Course seems to be getting a lot of run with the amount of divots on tee boxes and fairways but they are definitely doing good job trying to maintain. Fairly open layout with huge greens. Layout can be a bit boring if you’re looking for a more challenging course but the undulating greens still keep you on your toes. Overall a good course to play. Would definitely play here more often if green fees were cheaper.
Paul
Great new course. A really nice layout with huge greens. This course will only get better in the next few years. I would highly recommend playing this course
Not horrible but just not worth price.
First time playing here. Very cool track layout but greens need serious help. Starts with the quality of players who play there of course. Morons not fixing ball marks and spike marks, but staff should be on that. I guess what you get playing public track but all the Monmouth county courses greens are night and day better. No liquor license either. It’s overall not a bad course by any means but if you can get county tee time definitely go there. Half the price and conditions are better. I will say, if they had greens in better shape, it would be a must play for people. Also side note the group in front of us were on carts and were a full hole and a half behind group in front of them. We were walking and ranger wouldn’t let us pass. Staff very friendly and mini golf was nice touch. Would love to go back if greens were better.
Old Bridge Golf Club
Nice layout undulating green a fun challenge wide fairways just a lot of fun Looking forward to returning soon.
4.5 Hours
630 am First group out took 4.5 hours to complete. Was held up behind whole round. They also let out a 5 some at 620 for a staff member who worked there. No rangers in sight. Called clubhouse and no pace of play enforced.
Tough greens!
I always enjoy playing this course. The fairways are relatively forgiving, but man, those greens are a challenge! $29 walking for a 6pm tee time...can't beat that!!
The Rose
Very nice course. It's in great shape and is very playable.Staff is very friendly.Great driving range.
In my top-3 favorite courses in NJ
An absolute pleasure playing this course. I loved everything about it — the layout, the conditions, the undulating greens, all of it. According the pro shop, this course is only in its second year, but it already looks and feels like an established, tournament-level course.
Aside from the beach traffic getting down there, I can’t think of any negatives. I look forward to going back many times in the future.
