Starter is great
The starter was so nice and friendly. Really enjoyed the course would play again.
New Track - Great Value
The course has only been open for a year, so some of the cart paths are not completed yet. It leads to a little confusion as to where you're allowed to drive the cart. Other than that, it's a nice track and is in great condition.
There are some nice water holes - you can't see all the ponds from the tee box,es so you need to know the course to avoid losing a few balls by nor steering clear of the water.
We played the black tees, so the course was around 6200 yds. There are a lot of wide and open fairways, so there are chances to grip it and rip it without getting into too much trouble. I parred a par 4 after launching a drive onto a parallel fairway (wicked high slice), so the course can be forgiving.
I'd come back here - if they had a pin of some sort on premise this place would be better. I think that is in the works, though. Other than that, this course is worth checking out.
The Rose
This is one of the best courses in a 50 mile radius. The fairways are in great condition as well bunkers were good too. Because of the difficulties of the greens they need to have at least a front/middle/back flag on their flag sticks. Maybe a few more yard markers in the fairway areas too. GHIN app doesn't have GPS so you need to have another measuring device. Still this is an enjoyable layout and worth a visit.
Nice new track
Course needs to grow in a little more, some spots on the back nine seems like a shooting gallery. Conditions are above good and this course should only get better with time
Only going to get better
Solid new municipal for golfers in NJ. fun course offering plenty of challenge. And if you’re a walker like me, an easy lift. Beware: the greens are brutal. great condition but rolling and massive.
minor downside is no liquor license yet, but the systems are in place for when that happens. looking forward to enjoying a post round brew on the nice patio overlooking 2-3.
pace of lay can be improve, but what course isn’t saying that?
overall, a really fun course on a gorgeous property and one of the more interesting layouts at this price point.
Worth the drive one hour ten minutes
Course only open one and a half year's in great condition
Mostly great
Course is in generally great condition - fairways/greens. Rough can be somewhat more of a construction zone - patchy (not by design). 5 hour round. Quirky greens- verging on gimicky but were in good condition. No food availability beyond chips and chocolate at 2pm.. had ran out..
This place is a gem
While it still needs some polishing, this gem of a course is worth playing now. When the grass matures and they continue to improve by completing the cart paths, it will be one of the top public courses in the state. The staff really made us feel like members and we enjoyed the layout with a great mix of holes. It’s playing hard and fast currently with the lack of rain, they are doing a great job keeping it green. You won’t be disappointed!
Great Place to Play
Love this new course more every time I play it. The course is still maturing, but the atmosphere and pace of play are phenomenal. The greens are tricky, but play true to you read. The only thing missing is a liquor license, so you can sit back and enjoy a few drinks after a round and enjoy the atmosphere they have created.
A lot of fun
Nice course, greens are a lot of fun, crazy amount of hallmarks in them. If they don’t do something about it they will lose them. Last couple of holes are a bit too open. You can hit it 50 yards right or left and still have a shot in.
For some strange reason range don’t open until 8, couldn’t warm up. I will definitely play it again.
Course conditions
Greens are on the mend after aeration, ball marks need to be fixed , fairways are tight , a tremendous amount of divots not filled in and replaced , buckets of divot mix is needed , ranger needs to be out reminding players , a beautiful course needs to be taken care of by the players
