this is the condition of the 12th green. This is standard condition on all greens Photo submitted by hendu11 on 08/03/2023

while the greens and tee boxes continue to go downhill, the greenskeeper has the time and money to put these pointless bushes and rocks behind the 11th green. No priorities. Photo submitted by hendu11 on 08/03/2023

Great price!
This a good course to play a few practice rounds early in the season. Where else can you play 18 holes with a cart for $10. Of course for that price it isn't going to be pristine or greatly maintained. But it is open and you can bang the ball around. Fairways are not cut short enough, so every shot is a challenge. Greens are slow, but I prefer that. So, most low handicappers would not like it at all, but double digit guys early spring it's OK and for 10 bucks it's better than the driving range!! People are friendly, food is OK and it looks like some work is happening, so I suspect it will get better in time. It is the old Banner Lodge with a name change!
Wow Blown away
This course was in great shape the front 9 was open and the back 9 was narrow and a nice picturesque course
Still needs a lot of work
This course is still in bad shape. The fairways are nonexistent. The tee boxes are uneven and most of the traps are hard dirt. The greens were decent but slow. Can't imagine anyone paying full price.
Very hopeful - will return
I have played this course over the years and I think that they are really starting to put some money and effort into making conditions better. The track is great with a few par four warm up holes (straight and wide) and then some more difficult holes to follow. I look forward to returning to check out the conditions later in May. I hope they keep up the good work.
course is improving
I have played this course a number of times over a long period of time. It had fallen in to less than ideal conditions ,but recently a fair amount of work has been put in to the course and it will be a good place to play. There have been some changes that will make it more challenging and if they were to develop a watering system for the fairways it could be an excellent place to play
Improving
Played on a cold and windy day. Greens are slow but in great shape. The rest of the course can be best discribed as a work in progress. The new greens keeper is really trying but the course was neglected for so long that it is going to take a few years to get it back. "Fairways" are almost non existant. They have put new sand in the bunkers and the fringe around most greens are back. Some holes on the back nine are being redone and should be ready by next spring. For the price $22.00 with cart, it was worth it but I would not have paid more. Could be a really nice course if they spend some money on irrigation and keep the new greens keeper.
Dry turned to hard pan
We sailed thru 9 holes and then caught up to an outing of drunk kids. One cart had 2 girls that never stopped talking and obviously knew nothing of golf etiquette. The other 2 carts had three guys smoking and drinking their beers and had no respect for the course or it's property. I should have called the main number to send out a ranger when they started doing "donuts" with the carts. We quit after 16 holes.
Could be spectacular with some love and care
Booked the deal for a Sunday afternoon and having never played, but seen the reviews was not expecting much...Very nice club house and building for the pro shop. Course is potentially a great track, but they need to get some water on the fairways. Greens in very good shape, fairways not so much. I would say my value was great. GN deal and was very happy. I will go back and play again, and maybe we will get some rain to soften the course up.
Because it is drym the ball really moves, so I was driving much further than normal.
Little construction on the course and some changes coming, so maybe somebody is putting money into the layout and upgrading. Beautiful area and a great drive to the course from home.
Needs help
Greens were great everything else needs major help. Could be very nice course great layout lots of potential
Banner
Clubhouse is fine staff very friendly and accommodating golf course greens are good & green however fairways are very dry and hard. Much crabgrass.
Great Value for Novice Golfers and Golfers on a Budget
While the conditions are not the best, you can have a cheap, fast pace round of golf which is perfect for novices and college students.
Course needs work
2 holes are closed. and have been all season. The fairways are all overgrown crabgrass. The greens need to be cut they were bushy. Course layout is great . Could be a great course with proper maintenance.
Renovating
Not too bad, upgrading the back half of the course, hole 14 was closed. However they allowed us to replay 1 and 2. I would go again
No drinking water on the course?
A sign in the pro shop said to buy your drinks because they don't provide any on the course... really!!?? One hole was closed for repairs... really... in the middle of the golf season. Another hole was shortened to a par 3 for more work. Lots of missing, brown n dead grass on the course
Greens are good!
very dry course, fairways are poor, no water on course.
Improvements show
This course is need of an irrigation system. The tee boxes and fairways are dried out and dying for water.
The greens are in good shape and have irrigation.
There are many improvements that show...some new paved cart paths. The clubhouse and parking lot is all new.
I will return after the rains return.
If it was green it would play very well.
Course is a complete joke
I only played because of a $10 deal with a cart for 18 so I said might as well take a shot. The course is in total disarray. The greens are the only thing that are acceptable by any standard. The fairways and teeboxes look worse than any lawn at a regular home. The grass is burnt and you cannot even tell where the fairway is. Even one of the holes I shut down and you cannot play it. If you cannot get a good deal to play here I would stay far away.
