Course was in excellent condition and pace of play great

Made a tee time on the courses website on June 26th to play on July 3rd. Paid $131.00 in advance for a foursome, seemed like a pretty good deal. The course is situated at a halfway point between my friends and I meaning we all drove at least an hour and a half to get to the course. Upon arrival we were told that our time was cancelled and my $131.00 had been electronically refunded to me. So looked at my account and there was a refund for $117.00 that was done the previous evening. I have a few issues over how the situation was handled.

1. I booked the time on the courses site, don't make times available on so-called "members only" days.

2. If you let someone book a time and then are going to cancel it, give some time to make other arrangements. A phone call or email would also be appreciated so people do not show up expecting to play some golf only to be turned away.

3. When I walk into the pro shop and the situation in explained the first thing that the staff should provide is an apology! I understand mistakes happen but take ownership of the situation and don't try to blame Golf Now for having times up that you did not authorize or me for not checking my account to see if my payment had been refunded. The fault was yours plain and simple.

4. When I ask for the name of who I am speaking to give it to me. Not taking ownership over the situation and compounding the error by refusing to identify yourself only worsened the situation. This was easily the worst experience I have every had with a so called "Head Golf Professional." Well Kevin Mahaffey I do know your name despite your best efforts to keep it from me, and I will continue to tell everyone I know who is interested in playing your course that you do not represent the values of the PGA, and should not be in a customer facing position.

A simple I'm sorry would have gone a long way towards making the situation understandable but my friends and I couldn't even get that. I hope the members of the course who Mr. Mahaffey says he reports to take notice of this review and encourage him to work on his customer service going forward, then maybe some good will have come from this situation.

I would like to thanks the folks at Fairview Farms, who were able to squeeze us in, so the long drive for my friends and I was not wasted. They are example of what great customer service looks like.

Don’t be fooled by the 69 par and short yardage. difficult greens thick rough and elevation changes doglegs etc You will be challenged. But pkay well and you can score Enjoyable course

I had so much fun. I also lost a few balls and it was worth it. Really good conditions, great weather, wildlife, want more could you want. Oh yeah the scenery is beautiful. Playing here again sooy.

Love playing Pequabuck. Course is always in great shape and layout is special particularly the back nine. The head pro Kevin is a great guy and always helpful. Restaurant is small but bar and food are good. See ya again soon

Excellent course. Very nice will maintained, except for the geese poop and the y would not get out of the way. Friendly staff, good food and a nice patio.

Greens in great condition. A few blind shots due to valleys make for some interesting shots. I will definitely play there again.

I've been on a league at Pequabuck for several years and have seen the course go from being supportive and attentive to dismissive and solely focused on members. After several years of playing on a certain night we were told we needed to change nights so members could play or we could leave. This year they also closed the kitchen on the night we play, and made no effort accommodate us. The last slap in the face to our league is when on two occasions, we were told we couldn't play because they scheduled a tournament on that day. Hello aren't we paying customers? So if you want to be treated equally you need to become a member! Finally they need to control the Geese on the back nine! The eleventh green was literally covered with droppings making it impossible to putt and several other holes also needed attention. I don't think keeping the Geese off the course is too much to ask for a semi-private course!

The course is very pretty, but the holes are very tight. They do not have much room so they have out of bounds between the holes and this can be olny 5-10 yds off the fairways. The tees for the women tend to be pretty long and there, and there is not much diffeentiation between all the tees. The greens tend to be small, especially on the par five. a very hilly course.
