About
Situated at the heart of Fairfield County, Richter Park Golf Course is situated along the West Lake Reservoir. The course has been ranked among not only the top ten golf courses in Connecticut but also as one of the top 25 public courses in the country. The course sprawls across more than 180 acres of gently rolling hills. Water has a prominent presence throughout, with the Reservoir bordering seven holes on the front nine and water hazards coming into play on a total of 14 holes. In addition to the water, there are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, which can make it a tough golf course to play your first time. Be prepared for a few blind shots. Richter Park's signature hole, the par-5 12th, is bordered by Boggs Pond. Your third shot will be over water to a bunkered green.

Great value, beautiful layout and setting
This course offers a lovely natural setting, a variety of holes
That makes use of all clubs and shots.

Top Public Course!
I don’t normally write reviews but this course deserves the praise! The course was well kept and the pace wasn’t too bad. I love the Par 3s over water. Overall a great public course that i highly recommend.
Great round
Great course in great condition and will definitely be coming back. Pace of play was very good with no waiting . Great value on a hot deal. Staff was friendly other than minor confusion about whether we paid or not by starter.
Bad pro shop info
Was not told that is was cart path only, was not told that quite a few greens had a tarp over half of them, was not told they had just arrayed some of the greens, was not told one hole was modified due to maintenance by the green so it was not in play.
Played front 9 twice
Wait till the course is completely open.
Had to play front 9 twice without any knowledge before hand. It would of been nice before I bought the round.
Richter is a beautiful course
I appreciate the shotgun start, course seems in good shape!
Best Public Course
Richter Park has always been my favorite public course. I like to find deals to play here.
