About
Situated at the heart of Fairfield County, Richter Park Golf Course is situated along the West Lake Reservoir. The course has been ranked among not only the top ten golf courses in Connecticut but also as one of the top 25 public courses in the country. The course sprawls across more than 180 acres of gently rolling hills. Water has a prominent presence throughout, with the Reservoir bordering seven holes on the front nine and water hazards coming into play on a total of 14 holes. In addition to the water, there are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, which can make it a tough golf course to play your first time. Be prepared for a few blind shots. Richter Park's signature hole, the par-5 12th, is bordered by Boggs Pond. Your third shot will be over water to a bunkered green.

Take a cart!
Beautiful, picturesque course. Reminded me a bit of Spyglass in the bunkering. Tricky greens, elevation changes, slopes, blind shots, WATER EVERYWHERE, and long drives between holes are what I mainly recall. Take a cart! I drove an hour to play but will be back next year.
Very nice course, needs a Ranger for pace of play
Loved the course, unfortunately it was incredibly slow. No Ranger enforcing pace of play and to make matter worse, the slow foursome in front of us split up into 2 twosome after 13 holes. Other than that, great course
Picturesque Course, slow play
This course is normally out of my budget, but they have select tee times reserved for Hot Deals on GolfNow that made my round affordable. $65 for 1:30pm weekday Tee time with cart and range balls.
The Tee boxes were level and sizeable, but had just been aerated and were very sandy. The fairways were nicely maintained, and the greens were fast and undulating. We saw the cart girl 3 or 4 times, and the rangers were very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, the rangers did not enforce pace-of-play and two groups ahead of me slowed us down considerably. The round took 5h20min and I waited on every tee box and fairway.
Great hidden gem in the city of danbury
Richter park is a classic golf course nestled in the hills away from the busy city of danbury , The course is challenging , with very beautiful layout . Piece of plate wasn’t bad in 5 1/2 hours., compared to the past as it can get congested and playing 6hrs +

HORRIBLE PACE OF PLAY
5+ hours, every time. Do not play if u have any respect for your time, they clearly do not.
