Very friendly staff. Great course. Very well maintaine
Hidden gem
Not exactly easy to get a tee time for this course, but after playing it, I can see why. Worth every bit of the hour drive I made to play here for the first time. . The course was in great condition and the layout is surprisingly superb. A Tom Fazio design that will leave you wanting more. I will definitely be back. Staff was very friendly and the food/amenities was great. Good job guys.
Town needs to hire new staff
Grew up playing this course, prob played hundreds of rounds here. Today's experience was lackluster and the staff needs to have training on how to treat a paying customer....especially when said customer is a town tax payer and funds their salaries. We booked a 4 some...we had one person drop out last minute because of COVID tracing. We were told upon check-in that we would have to pay for the other golfer that didn't show up because of "lost revenue". The only problem is they paired us with another single...so where is the "lost revenue"? We explained the situation and were still told we cant play unless we pay for the 4th golfer and they refused a refund. The so called "Pro" intervened and raised his voice inappropriately in front of other customers essentially making the situation worse. If you are going to work in a customer facing role you should really learn how to speak to a person and learn to diffuse a customer complaint instead of chiding and being rigid.
Realy Fun Course
Ridgefield GC is a really fun course with a few very challenging holes mixed in. Par 5 on the front is a tough one and the back has a brutal par 5, par 4 back to back that's a killer. The rest of the course is just a blast to play. The course is usually in very good shape, yesterday it was in amazing shape. Rates are not great but Golfnow rate was perfect. Staff is always very nice. The one and only drawback is they sometimes have high school teams there and if so you'll be there for EVER! If they are going to have school's there then don't offer tee times to the public on that afternoon.
Paying in season rates for off season play. One of the worst overall golf experiences I ever had.
One of the worst overall golf experiences I ever had. Wet grass clippings accumulated on fairways and wet leaves blown off fairways and only partially off the rough. Significantly overpriced. I paid in-season prices to play in off-season conditions, including mandatory shotgun start at 8:15 AM on a cold, wet, overcast day in late October. Although the course advertises off-season rates, I was charged in-season rates. I called three times to request a refund but received the runaround and was told not to expect credit for the overcharge. The Pro Shop personnel are not honoring their website advertised fees.

Always great!
Ridgefield never disappoints! From the friendliness of the staff, to the course conditions, to the pace of play, Ridgefield should be a model of how public courses are run.
