Hole #11 is not the more difficult hole on course
I disagree Hole #11 is the hardest on the course. I believe hole #15 is with hole #16 the second hardest. Hole #9 could be the 3rd most difficult hole. It’s a fun and challenging course. I recommend it.
Wet
Unfortunately it had rained the night before. Sand traps were full of water. Standing water in some fairways and fringes around the greens. Greens were tough, no straight putts , a lot of undulation. Hot dog shack is on point!!
Fun Track
This course is always a fun track to improve your game. Tight Fairways And dog legs to challenge your drive. Greens are undulating and lots of break if your in the wrong position. Great drives lead to great attacks at the pin. Pace of play can be a challenge when one walker is hitting 4 balls on a hole and holding back golfers. Staff is great Marty knows the game well. Reasonably priced for the course. Fun track and better when its not raining!
Great Experience!
Was my first time playing at Crestbrook. Course was engaging and interesting. As someone new to golf it was a great opportunity to apply skills I’ve learned. And a huge thank you to the staff member who found my pitching wedge! Will definitely be recommending Crestbrook to others and playing there again!
Course Rangers Rude
The course itself was alright. The layout was confusing. There were no signs to direct you at forks.
We were at least a full hole ahead of the players behind us yet the course ranger yelled at us, “Hurry Up!”. He should have driven up to us and politely let us know at best. He should not have yelled at us in the middle of our tee off from across half the golf course, especially when we were a full hole ahead of the team behind us. We had just started teeing off because the holes were backed up and we were waiting until the front team cleared out as any normal golfer would.
I will not be recommending this course.
Much better
Have played this course over the years and was always just ok. This time was totally different. Course was in great shape but most importantly the ranger did a great job of keeping pace of play. This is a problem at most courses and can be the cause for an awful round. Will be playing here more often for sure!
Great course for all levels!
My old college roommate and I played 18 at least once a summer all over Connecticut for the pass 6 years. We both stated how nice the course was and we ended up playing 18 in 3 hours 45 min.
Great Layout, Challenging Course
Played here on Father’s Day. The pace was perfect. Never waited. Never had anyone down our backs. Some greens were really tough, but all in fantastic shape. Same with the fairways. Just perfectly kept. The rough is too. Only thing that could be fixed are the tee boxes, but that’s it!
