Delcastle - great course in great condition
Played here for the first time in the 5 years I have lived in DE. From the white tees, it was a challenge and the course was in great condition ( fairways and greens). Will definitely come back.
Very good course
Very good course ,challenge and consistent speed of green,the design of course is good and difficult to get par.I really recommend!
Overpriced.but decent course with nice greens.
Always goose gunk everywhere and pace of play is horrible. Course layout is decent and the greens are very nice. Play this course only if you have 4 1/2 to 5 1/2?hours to play a round of golf and you don’t mind spending $40 for an average course.
Delcastle GC
Place to play. Conditions are good. Greens good. Course a local would play weekly. Many elevation changes. Great experience.
5 hr 10 min round on a 1:30pm Friday tee time
5 hr 10 min round on a 1:30pm Friday tee time. But hey USB chargers in new carts so at least my phone didn't die as much my enjoyment of golf during the round. Cart girl during the weekday was nice to have, many courses don't have that during the week.

Delaware golf
This was a really nice course. Fairways are in great shape and so are the greens. If we lived in the area, we’d play here regularly!

Better than I remember
Delcastle has improved since the last time I played it. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Overall we had a good 4 hour round.

Saturday play

Not well kept
Course was very dry. Sprinklers went off middle of the round and got in the way. There were a lot of dead spots on the fairway.

Great staff
Staff was great, especially the starter Jim. Greens were great, fairways a little burned out, but playable. Course layout was good. Pace of play terrible, but it’s a public course. Rangers did a good job of getting players going.

Average Course
Great for golfers just starting out.
Nothing special here, they did put some work back in the course so it is getting better.
Straightforward golf, many holes will feel the same.
I live about a mile from this course, I like playing it with my buddies who don't get out as much.
The starters have been preaching pace of play, but have only recently been enforcing. Pretty slow round of golf on the weekends.
Greens are pretty slow, flat, but roll true.
Average course, for a little above average greens fees, but you will see the course is trending in the right direction but still needs work in spots.
I would recommend playing this course to a intermediate to beginner. A expert or low handicap might find this course very boring, it doesn't make you think.

A good place for beginners
This course has a forgiving layout good for golfers just starting out. The greens are well kept, but the pace is a little slow.

Not much changed in 2 months
Previous review pointed out the need for work on bunkers. I saw very little improvement. Course is fairly open and very playable. Greens ran slow all day in 90 degree sun and heat. Wouldn’t pay much more then the hot deal price of $34.

Sunday play
We played Sunday. We have reduced our use of this course because it can be really slow on weekends. It is well maintained and the staff friendly. Today there was nobody in front of us, the 2 nd cut was not really high so we could find our wayward shots. Traps were muddy, but we got a lot of rain recently. The greens ran true. Had a good time out there today.

Delcastle delight
First time playing Delcastle and it was better than I had been lead to expect. Good mix of difficult and easier holes. I thought the White tee’s slope of 118 was understated. Greens were in nice shape but many greenside bunkers had some water and mud. Facilities (bathroom, bar) are old and a bit dingy but the employees were nice.
I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Great value for the $18 I paid ($28 Hot Deal less $10 rewards).
