Delcastle Golf Course

There was a wonderful lady doing the beer/food cart driving around the course who was super nice and helpful. Made the experience that much better.

As always, the course was in excellent condition but the greens were a little inconsistent for speed, and oftentimes it seemed like the putts rolled out faster uphill than down. Go figure.

With very little wind, as long as you can hit it straight the course if a fabulous test of golf without being impossible for average players. Strong winds can produce lots of loss balls in thick fescue and other native high grasses, so pick your day carefully.

My only complaint this day was slow play due to a "tournament" of willing amateurs in foursome playing slow so lots of waiting. Still, beats a standard muni for weekends.

Very much worth the money.

Haven't played the course in three years, looking forward to playing the course again.

90+ degree day and there was no drinking water on the course(still due to COVID?) and no beverage cart. If this is the case , officials should allow you to bring a small cooler with beverages.

Some of the bunkers around the course need to be cleaned up. Weeds growing out of the sand

For the price you cant beat this course, I always enjoy Delcastle.

I recently played at Delcastle and the course is in pretty good shape. Most of the holes are in perfect condition with a little to no issues. The rangers will drive around sometimes, but do not speed up play for some reason. Overall experience was good.

We played 18 in less than 3.5 hours. Course is in good shape. Tee boxes and greens were in really good shape. The rough is low and easy to find your ball. It was hot so there was a lot of roll on the fairways. We could use driver on every par 4 and par 5.

We teed off at 11:30. 5 mins earlier. We were bottle necked after 2 holes. 3 foursomes were ahead of us that were hack jobs. There was no ranger on the course to help speed up play. We had 10-15 mins between each shot. Sometimes on the tee box for 15 mins. For a pair, it took us over 5 hours to complete this course! Totally unacceptable. Tee times for a course like this should be 15 mins apart to account for slow play. The rough, is your grass in your backyard. Very spotty, choppy. A lot of weeds as well in the rough. I will not play here again unfortunately. Tee boxes were terrible. Some even on a slope! Totally uneven. There is too much traffic. Not enough regulation on pace of play. If you like paying $5 in the snack shop for a hot dog on a stale bun, then this might be your kind of place. Wide open fairways that do not penalize you for an errant drive. Sadly it does not reward you for hitting fairways. Greens were hit or miss for rolling true. Nothing special about any of the hole's layouts.

This course is wide open, there are only a few holes where you have a real chance of losing a ball and yet somehow it always gets backed up. Frequently get rounds over 5 hours, sometimes pushing 6 just waiting on every shot. They always have a ranger driving around on the weekends but they don't seem to help pace of play.

Playing here for 5 decades, I’ve seen Delcastle in all conditions. Currently, in as good of shape as it’s been in years. Greens are full, but a bit slower then expected. Tee boxes and bunkers were mostly good with a few exceptions.

A 5+ hour round should never happen. It completely takes away from enjoying the day when your waiting on almost EVERY shot.
