West at White Pines Golf Course
About
Situated just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, White Pines Golf Club has been a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The club offers two courses, the East and the West. The West Course is longer than the East by 400 yards and considered slightly more challenging. The layout is relatively tight and there is an abundance of trees, which means you'll need to be accurate to do well. The greens are large and challenging with difficult-to-read breaks. There is also minimal, but strategic bunkering along the greensides. The fairways provide plenty of variety with some that are narrow and heavily tree-lined and others that are wide with no trees in sight. The golf course has several challenging holes but it's forgiving enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Excellent course
Started on 10 but never had anyone in front of us and only a twosome behind us. It was a great day.
Great experience
Friendly staff, course was in good condition, and pace was decent for a public course
Wonderful outing
Played the East course and had a wonderful time. Perfect weather; pace of play was good but we never felt rushed; staff was helpful - and not just spotty, but everyone we interacted with. Course was in good shape. Will definitely play again!
This is the second time playing this course but I haven’t played it in over a year which the conditions before wasn’t that bad. I’ve been back playing golf about 60 to 70 rounds a year for the last two years since back surgery three years ago. I’m a seven handicap and I’ve played About 15 courses up here in the Chicago area. I am from South Florida and play a few courses around the medalist course that tiger is a member at. And actually Michael Jordan‘s course 23 is right down the road but I’ll never get on that. I go to this link because it’s like I said it’s my first time ever reviewing the golf course I generally just don’t have time for it. But this golf course really was a joy to play from the time I entered The property everybody I spoke to my teatime a piece of play the course conditions were just almost perfect. The tea boxes have been worn a little bit from debits but that’s really no big deal. Most were just fine and other than that cook horse was perfect. Very nice people nobody behind us no one in front of us pushing us. Just wonderful
Still The Champ
I wore my championship belt to the course and all the ladies flocked to me. I signed a few autographs for the kids then I hit the course. I was locked in, as usual. Dropping bombs all day that left the random dudes in my foursome awestruck. I signed autographs for them as well. The course was in great condition for as dry as it has been lately. Dr. SausageTits stands no chance in our rematch for the belt.

White pines east course
I played with my friend Marty on the east course. The course was in great shape and we had a great time. It was a little warm outside but again everything was good. I would highly recommend plain white pines golf course..
Much Improved
I hadn't played WP a few years and was pleasantly surprised to find well manicured fairways, greens in good shape and bunkers actually full of sand!! A major improvement from years past. The only down side of the day was manager in the pro shop who was not very pleasant and gave me a warning about being a single riding in a cart saying that I needed to share a cart. The other people in the group were not checked in (I didn't know them at all as I booked as a single) so there wasn't much I could do. Happy to comply with this request but the manager could have been nicer about it. Other than that, the staff were great.
