Good course if you've got time to kill
Course is in good shape and a value option if you don't want to pay for The Preserve, but isn't a must-play. Not exceptionally long and it won't beat you up. The layout is a little strange with the 4th tee on the opposite side of the property from 1-3, but in a cart it's no big deal. Plenty of cross-fairway hits from other golfers' wayward shots but I'd chalk that up to hackers moreso than the layout. Pace of play is another story, we had a fairly early tee time (around 8am) but the round took almost 5 hours. We were waiting on the tee for every hole, but the group in front of us was not to blame. Unless the pace of play improves, don't put this too high on your list.
Maple Meadows Fall Golf
I played Maple a few weeks ago. The course was in great shape. Greens were rolling well and fairways were clean and had great playability. Was a decently busy day so as a single I was paired up. Had some cools guys to play with. We all thought pace was fine. We played in 4 hours maybe a few minutes less.
Courses should disclose when Greens have been aerated
Staff is great, second time we ever played here, its a fun course. Not difficult but has its challenges. I just wish courses would let us know when they have just aerated the greens so we could consider before booking
Tougher than you think
Course is a good test for all skill levels. Some long par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s. Good variety of holes.
Played on rainy day and course was very playable.
Great staff course played real well
Staff was friendly, accommodating and course was well maintained. Pace of play great.
Slow
Sitting on the 12th hole, 3.5 hours into a round that started at 8:30am. Was told 2 groups were late in front of us and it backed up the course. Slowest groups ever in front of us. If groups are late, that’s their problem not everyone else’s. The staff had no interest in helping solve the problem, just blamed the groups that were late. Figure out how to run a golf course on a weekend.
Extremely Slow Play
2 hour 45 minute 9 hole round. No ranger pushing play, overall bad experience.
Good value
Overall course conditions were very good. Greens a little bumpy. (Many golfers apparently don't fix their divots on the green) fairways in good shape.
Good value for the money.
Slow pace
Pace of play was so slow, 4 groups waiting to tee off on one hole, no ranger to help move groups along, wouldn’t recommend unless you like waiting.
First Maple Meadows Visit
Course was in great condition, friendly staff and the pace was good.
Great Course
The staff and the course were excellent. I will certainly play this course again. It was a little too pricey for me but would still recommend the course.
Not for fun
If you're looking to play some golf and have fun with your friends or family, DO NOT play here. I came here with 3 friends and brought 3 beers (1 per person) and was scolded for bringing them. We threw them out once we realized we weren't allowed to BYOB but were stopped on 2 more occassions and asked to see our cooler. They made us feel like drug smugglers. On top of that we were followed and harassed by the "ranger" on the back 9. They told us we were 30 minutes behind after the turn, even though we could see the group on the green at 10. That group eventually walked off at 15 and the ranger, who was still following us, told us we need to get it moving because we're holding up the entire course. Ridiculous. We'll never play here again and I wouldn't suggest you do either.
