Chalet Hills Golf Club

We used to live out in western suburbs and loved to play chalet hills. 5 years downtown and still having to drive to find decent golf, we ventured back to chalet hillls. Sorry we waited so long. Great course, great design. I think the back 9 has some more challenges. But my scorecard didn't disappoint.

I had heard good things about chalet hills and it completely exceeded my expectations. The course was challenging yet very playable and in great condition. I can't wait to play there again very soon. Well Done Chalet Hills!!!!!

Pace of Play was a huge issue. No ranger until the 14th hole....had to call the clubhouse to see what was the reasoning behind the delay. There are plenty of areas where a ranger can sit and monitor other than the 18th hole.....5 green/6 & 7 tee would be an especially great area where they could get people moving if there was someone imposing out there......But that is just my thought. If a 6 inch putt is being marked on a weekend, its time to say something. When the blue tees are being used by a foursome of 30+ handicappers something needs to be said....the earlier the better.....not on hole 14....We waited literally for every shot after we teed off of number 2. That being said, I'd imagine that during the week when the pace is up to snuff it is a completely different and enjoyable experience.

This was the 1st time playing this course. It was a challenge to say the least. To start off the 1st 3 holes are somewhat open. than the fun begins. 4 is a tight fairway, 5 is an awesome par 3 that you have to be dialed in on distance, 6 is a par 5 that the green is hidden behind a hill if approaching from the left. best stay right. 7-8 are open, 9 has water to carry. the back 9 play's the same way. 14 with its island green is tough. So to sum up the course. Tight fairways, excellent greens, If you draw the ball be careful off the tee, trees get in the way. Would play again now that i know what to expect.

I've played this course 11 times now and am a 16 HDCP. It took the 11th try to finally break 90. It is a very picturesque course but lots of opportunities for trouble. The 9th and 18th are doglegs around a central lake/pond, 14 is a par 4 with a tight fairway to a shallow island green. The first 4 holes are good warm-up holes, then 5,6,7 are potential disasters.
I wouldn't recommend it for a high handicapper unless you're out for the scenery.

It had been a while since I had played Chalet Hills. The last time I played it, the conditions were spotty at best (reason why I hadn't played it for over a year). I can gladly say that the course conditions are back to what I always expected when going to Chalet Hills, great rolling greens-tough but fun layout!! Will definitely be back.

This course has many interesting & challenging holes. Lots of elevation changes. We played from the white tees. The blues are for big hitters. The greens have not fully recovered from our hard winter and many of the traps needed raking. Other than that, the course was in really good shape.

Had difficulty scoring this course. Why? While playing in 90+ degree heat, our foursome was in significant need of hydration. You already know that neither water coolers nor a traveling beverage cart was to be found. I'm OK with only one or the other missing, but not both. If you play this track, be warned that your thirst is your own! A message to the new owners - please invest in water coolers and keep them filled. A pleasant beverage cart lady is even better!
The course was in good condition. In general, greens were fine. Very little evidence of the brutal winter kill you find on many courses. Our foursome's handicap's range from high single digits to teens, and this track kicked our butts! Some holes are very tight with OB or overgrown wooded areas. Lots of balls swallowed. Not a course for inexperienced players.
We're it not for missing potable water, I would have given four stars.

The golf course was in good shape. However, it was 90 degrees and humid outside and the had ZERO drinking water on the course and no beverage cart. It was absolutely terrible and I will not be going back. Completely unacceptable to not have water jugs on the course.

.5 hours and 30 minutes to play a round is just wrong.

Course is very challenging...lots of target golf holes, 1 peninsula green hole. Course was in excellent condition as well. Day I played the course was jammed and we were behind a slow, slow, slow group...waited on every shot. The blue tees here are almost 6600 yards with a slope of 139...if you can't hit it 230 and straight, play the whites...everyone will have a better day.

Been awhile since I've played here. Don't know why. I will be back soon.

Tough course, but there are landing areas. You will be penalized for a poor shot and penalized again on the same hole if you try something stupid. Play within yourself and enjoy the terrain changes. It's a very pretty place.

Greens rolled great and course was in excellent condition. Accuracy is a big premium here, but the course is fair. Bunkers were soft which leads to plugged balls.

Great track. Very challenging and scenic. Well worth the money.

Course conditions are better than they have. Been since last year. New mgmt. really know how to fix up a course. Looking forward to playing again. .

I played Chalet Hills yesterday and could not believe the difference in the shape of the golf course from last year. Apparently, the new owner is pushing the course back in the right direction. Greens were in nice shape - they were mowed nicely. The course could use some touching up, but the playability was great!
