The course is beautiful
This course is in great shape. The greens are smooth with no bare spots. The fairways were in the best shape ever. I've played at the this course a couple of times before and the course is terrific. It has a bit of water but is very manageable if you place your shots well. I would recommend this course to anyone, beginner to pro. It has beautiful scenery and is absolutely a pleasure to play.
Good value
Greens in great shape, soft and fair. Great price during the week! Friendly staff.
Tight fairways, small greens, well maintained
The greens are nice but small. Fairways are well maintained but don't drain well. Challenging course if you aren't hitting your irons well!
Give Us Water!!
While the course was in good condition, the temperature and humidity on 6/16 was extreme. We saw the beverage cart twice, both times on the front nine. Never saw her again. We were out of water, etc early into the back nine. The lady had no sandwiches on the cart either (when we did see her) and with the layout of Meadow Lakes, you get no where near the clubhouse at the turn. You have to rely on the beverage cart. I questioned the clubhouse and they said the lady on the cart went home early. No back up plan on that one. Needless to say we were very disappointed in that aspect.
Not very pleased.
I grew up playing Meadow Lakes when my dad took me every Sunday morning. I played there yesterday for the first time in 16 years. The greens are amazing and by far the best part of the course. The gentlemen at the clubhouse was really nice and even gave me a free bucket of range balls.
However, the course needs work. The bunkers are in terrible shape. The pace of play was excruciating and we finished 9 holes in 3 hours. Then the rain came so we just decided to call it a day.
O.K.
I booked this course to take my wife and father-in-law out on for his birthday. When we arrived at the course I went inside to check in with the staff, the guy working the counter seemed really dismissive. The course was in pretty good shape considering how much rain had fallen the week prior. There were some people on the course whom I am assuming lived there and they were kinda rude, at one point they made a gesture at us and skipped a couple of holes to play around us. As a threesome we were playing at a 4 hour pace and they were also a three some. The greens were in decent shape you could tell thay had been maintained recently. All in all though the cvourse was challenging and had its good points. From a florida golfer going to play the course I was really suprised to see all the hills we had to hit up and down.
terrific greens
great course, well maintained, even though conditions were wet. did not have to wait long to tee off.
Greens rolled very true
Challenging layout.
Nice greens.
Not crowded.
Needs some TLC.
Friendly service.
Great Shape!
The course was in Great Shape and very challenging course. Only problem was we got behind a foursome on the back 9 that thought they played on the PGA tour and we had to wait for them ever hole. So, a Marshall was need to hurry up play.
Great Greens this early in the year !!!!!
Very suprised with the course conditions..Have played recently private clubs in the N. of Atlanta and they were not in this of a good shape...Great greens, and enough green grass to have a good lie....
Slow greens
Fun layout for all golfers. Not a long course. Greens need to be cut and rolled. Fair amount of water with a few bunkers.
Great Course - Great Staff
I have been driving from Acworth to play this course for over 5 years. Well worth the 45 min drive. Hardly every have to wait to tee off or on a tee box. Pace of play is great. Greens are always like glass, even during the summer droughts. Not sure how they do it.
Also, Matt, in the clubhouse, is AWESOME!
very challenging
this has a great layout with all the doglegs that require you to hit certain clubs. as well as the creeks that run thru the course.
rainney day
enjoyed the course in spite of the rain and overcast conditions
truly amazed that the greens were rolling true. Great service
from the pro I look forward toward enjoying my next round there.
Excellent greens
While this course is a lengthy drive from Atlanta, it is an outstanding value. The putting surfaces at Meadow Lakes were in pristine condition. Give credit to the greenskeeper, as well as what appeared to be a lack of play on the course. The greens in general were small, which yielded more challenge than the 6,500 yds on the scorecard suggested. Water hazards come into play on a majority of holes, but only a few of them have withstood the year's drought--the lack of actual water makes most of them playable. With 4 reachable par 5's and a handful of short par 4's, the layout invites aggressive play and results in a fun round of golf.
I highly recommend Meadow Lakes to anyone looking for smooth greens to putt on and a wait-free round at a good value.
good value on a really nice course
This is a really good course for the money. Most of the water hazards are dry because of local drought but that doesn't hurt play. Greens in excellent shape, some of the best in this area.
Overall course was above average
Has been dry in the area so course was not looking its best,(most ponds & lakes were dry) However it was in good playing shape. Greens were in nice condition, just a little slow for my taste.
This is a great couse and fun to play it just needs a lot of TLC
great course just needs help with bunkers fix them or remove them
very fun to play
Pretty flat course for the most part. Greens roll extremely well and true. Could be lots of water on the course, but most are dried out because of drought conditions lately. Don't expect to grab a drink or food after 9 holes, because the 9th and 10th holes might be the furthest from the clubhouse than any of the holes. The more holes you play, the farther away you get. Starts coming back around 13th hole, which is pretty neat. Really enjoyed the round
