Golfer Reviews
One of our all-time favorite golf courses.
We travel around the country in an RV and love playing different courses. We come here at least once a year and stay a few days just to play this beautiful course. You will love the challenge of this course and the wildlife you will see as you play on beautiful rolling fairways with woods on both sides.
Nice course
Overall the course was set up well and in good shape for early year play. If back in the area I will play again.
Course is in good shape, tough lay out. Have to hit quilty shots to score good here. Holed out a bunker shot in front of two grounds keepers so that was nice
Good value.
Considering in was late January, and temp was mid 50's, this was a fun outing. This was our first visit. As such, it was difficult to see where we were going because of the undulating terrain. I probably won't get in so much trouble on our next go around.
The facilities could be a movie set for the next zombie apocalypse. The lodge went under in 2008. A trailer/boxcar in the pro shop. Doesn't matter, we played golf in January.
No Flexibilty for GolfNow Users
This was my first time playing the course. It is a nice looking course and the scenery is beautiful but I didn't like the course layout. Most of the holes have dogleg and I hate using a club other than my driver to tee off on 4/5 par holes. If you're a really powerful golfer you can cut the dogleg and shoot over the trees, but I am not. I'd say I used my driver only a couple of times; most of the time I had to club down or I'd overshoot the fairway. And I'm not a long hitter.
My major complaint though was the inflexibility of the course for GolfNow. My tee time was something like 10:30 am and I got there at 10 am. It was raining and no one was teeing off. I asked if I could go ahead and start and they said no, pointing to a sign that said GolfNow players must tee off at exactly their tee time, no exceptions. So I got grouped with 3 other golfers and my course time was over 5 1/2 hours! (No fault of the golfers I was with or the weather...just slow pace.) I won't be returning.
eagle creek
great value for the money, would definitely recommend, very nice people
Always have good time at this course, really like lake the senior tee box, since I'm a senior now.
Fall Golf
Tons of leaves. They had gone to great effort to clear the playing areas, but we lost balls on several holes just in the rough.
Great Course & Great Value
The National at Eagle Creek is a truly unique and great golf course. Doglegs, trees, water, forced carries, elevation changes, fast greens with big breaks. A few "rough spots" here and there but who cares. Every time I play here I see at least 5 or 6 deer on the course and an occasional fox. If you desire a challenge, the final 5 holes are all ANYBODY would want. Wherever you live, The National is 100% worth the drive!
Excellent shape!
Course was in fantastic shape. Fairways to Greens
Well Maintained golf course
It's payable for all levels of golfers from beginners to amateurs, and does not have water hazards. I went there in April, and there are a few days of rain, so car path only, but we manage to play the course in 3 hours and 30 minutes for twosome. Nice golf course...
