Nice Course on a great weather day
The course was perfect for my skill level. I was able to hit most all of my clubs during the round. Staff did mention they had some trouble with the fairways this summer, so it was 90 degree rule. Not a problem. The fairways had some areas of dirt, but it wasn't too bad and it was evident the course is working to get the fairways back in good shape.
Great little course
I love the layout of this course. I don’t play here often enough, but every time I do I have to ask myself why I don’t. Some shorter par 4’s give you the opportunity to be aggressive and try to make up some strokes. Staff are great, and the pace of play wasn’t bad considering how busy it was. I definitely need to play here more often.
Getting Bad
This course has always been one of my favorites for years but the condition of the course has gone way down. Wouldn’t recommend to friends currently with how the course is looking. Greens are too soft and slow. The rough and parts of the fairways look like my front yard.
Rough was rough
I’ve golfed this course many times and generally enjoy it. The last outing it was getting overgrown, especially in the rough. The rates were upped this year, so I didn’t expect to lose so many balls just a few feet from the fairway.
It’s still an excellent course.
Mowequa Golf Course
Nice course out in the country. Good pace of play and conditions were co.mparable to Springfield. Illinois Friendly staff. Worth the drive.
Cow Pasture
This course is for people who don’t take golf very seriously. Good place to get drunk and have fun, but it’s not a real golf course
Great golf course
This course was challenging to play but open enough you don’t spend much time looking for your ball we never got held up or pushed in the round
Central Illinois Gem
I live in North Carolina and come to Illinois to visit family yearly and always make it a point to come play this course. Course is very well maintained and is fun to play.
Moweaqua Golf Course
My husband and I enjoy this course. It is worth our 1 hour drive to get there. 2 greens are not in good shape but the rest of the course is great!. The Salty Farmer in Town is a good place to stop after a round of golf but not open on Monday or Tuesdays.
