Avoid for now!!
Not to be rude but you should skip playing here unless you get the hot time for under $20. Or if you are ok with not putting for now. Greens are under serious heat stroke. They have aerated recently and thrown a lot of sand down to start building them back but for now it's extremely un-puttable to say the least. And where there is grass, they seem to be reluctant to cut right now until they get the full greens growing. This isn't just a few holes, this is every single green even the practice green.
Greens in very good shape
Great value. Greens were on par if not better with the more expensive courses. Tee boxes could use a little TLC. Overall you can't beat it for the price. Very nice people.
Good course to play
This course is a good course to play. Staff is very courteous and professional. Course still needs a little maintenance in places after the storm, but does not interfere with play. Greens were looking good.
This course is good.
Great course. Greens need a little TLC but overall an easy course.
Taylors Creek on Fort Stewart Army Base
Considering the cost to play golf nowadays, I found this course to be a great value. The shop is small with small amounts of offerings but, all the basics with friendly, informative staff. Before this I did not have any idea about how the golf courses for the military operate. The biggest takeaway would be they are not supplemented by the government. With that being said, I will say again, it was a great value.
The range balls were better than 90% of public courses, if they even have a range. The course is dormant, it’s winter in the south where the bermuda grass takes a break from growing, so the tees and the fairways were just fine for the most part, based on the cost of the round. The over seeded greens made for a consistent surface to putt on and were nice.
The best way to describe this visit is.. well worth the money.
The grass…
It’s just not good.
Glad it was cheap, but won’t return.
Fairways grass
Need mowing a little more but satisfying course to play
Staff was very professional and helpful
If you haven't played Taylor's creek you're missing out..
