The rough is tough
Pace of play on the front was great on the front but we caught 2 groups on the back and things slowed down considerably. The greens are in good condition and you can score well from the fairway, but he rough is very tough. It's long and thick!
Bad golf courses
The greens are not maintained holds all over the greens
Could be worse
As I drove to the course I started worrying after reading some reviews online. Turns out those scrubs have never played municipal golf in Chicago. The bunkers were like clay, but tee boxes and fairways were fine. Based on the reviews I thought I was headed for an awful experience. Played in 4:10 minutes, but overall quality experience. Wasn’t very challenging though
Greens
After heavy rains day before course held up really nice but greens were horrible. Still had holes from air rating. Ball bounced when we putted.
Course was okay. Young kids and other golfers showed poor golf etiquette.
Good value at a great price
The facilities are a bit run down. Cart paths not in great shape or kept up. The greens had recently been air-rated so it would not be fair to comment on greens. The course was in good shape. Many sand traps have no sand.
Not bad
You get what you pay for..pace of play was decent. The green are a little rough, but overall decwnt value
A good course spoiled
Super slow greens with damaged areas. The slopes and angles on the greens make the holes challenging and if the course were kept in good repair, they would be something to brag about.
The round was slow due to three foursomes booked for 7am.
The snacks are pathetic/nonexistent. The clubhouse looks like it will fall over with a heavy wind. No signage to indicate where the parking lot is.
The fairways are not in great condition either. If you take a client or business prospect to this course to this course, yo will disappoint them.
This could be a really good course. It has the bones to be worth your time and money. Until someone puts in effort, this course will continue to be a $25 a round course that costs you over $50 to play.
