It was open.
Honestly for a course being open on a random weekend that just happened to be warm enough to golf at the end of winter it was great. Since the course had been closed all winter I wasn’t expecting much but tee boxes and greens where in decent shape and we had a great time.
Design problems mar an otherwise enjoyable round
Fresh Meadow is close to home and a frequent fall-back, but not a favorite course. The course has plenty of challenges and opportunities for enjoyment, but a design flaw or two really hurts it. Putting two par-3 holes in a row creates delays.
The recent aeration of the greens made them hard to read and putt.
This round, on November 7, was a gift from God though: we had unseasonably mild weather, and it just felt great to be out there, walking, and getting one more round in.
Better than the reviews were leading me to expect
Honestly the course was in great shape.. yes one hole had small area collapse down about 4-5” on the green. Yes there were two cups on one green..It wasn’t what I was expecting after reading probably 2 dozen negative reviews on here, this course was in better shape then most courses that are on the cheaper prices.. easy course nice layout.
Don’t do it
Brutal course. Old cups not filled on multiple holes. A part of a couple other greens were collapsed. Overall condition is poor. Price should easily be half of what it is
Absolutely awful. Course in bad shape. Tee boxes all torn up. Fairways not maintained. Rude employee. No bathrooms. Worst pace of play I can ever remember encountering on a golf course. No starter. Everything up for grabs. Parking lot full of potholes and rocks and clubhouse roof is falling apart. Will never return.
Had a blast golfing but not the most modern of courses
