Fresh Meadow Golf Course

Not sure if anyone has worked on the course maintenance since this course opened for the year. Greens were in terrible shape. Fairways were in bad shape.

Not to mention pace of play was poor due to two six-somes on the course. No cart girl. No food.

Not sure I’d come back here for free. Save your time and your money. Many better options to golf out there.

What human being sends off a group of 5 and 8? I’ve never seen that till now. I’m not the greatest, but when people can’t hit their ball past the ladies tees, they stick around a congregate. Instead congregate hit. Don’t send a group of 5 or more on the weekends when it’s busy. I get it, it’s busy and can’t do anything when everyone is on top of one another, but can’t have groups of 5 or more. C’mon use your brain. Staff is slow. I could finished my round by the time we had or drinks and the bunkers are terrible. Save the money and go somewhere else. Ain’t worth it.

Not sure what they did to these greens but it looks like they aerated the green and it hasn’t healed. I’ve never seen a course is such bad shape. Honestly the maintenance crew should be embarrassed.

There were two groups of 8 HS kids jamming the entire course up, no ranger, workers didn’t seem to care.

Great course if you’re looking to drink heavily and don’t care about the quality of the greens.

This was the first time I played this course. I would say it’s a value course, meaning you get what you pay for. The Fairways are narrow, fairly close to each other, the tee boxes are narrow as well. If you want to play 18 At a fairly inexpensive rate than this is the course for you. The bunker sand was fairly hard, the fairways and Roughs were well-maintained. The staff was friendly, not too many amenities, and you have to use a porta John.

The course itself was decent, though a lot of the holes are on top of each other. There were back-to-back par 3's on the back 9, which I have never seen before. It was also hard to tell most fariways from the rough, as they had the same cut. Greens were hard and poorly managed. Some greens had divots, and all looked like the had just been aerated, but then left alone with no maintenance. I'd like to chalk it up to it being very early in the golf season, so I will update my review if conditions change the next time I'm back

This course shouldn’t even be listed on golf now. It needs major work. The club house is still closed and the building looks like its about to fall over. The fairway grass is almost the same as the rough so it is hard to tell where some holes even go. The greens are the worst I’ve seen. They are so aerated that its like a checker board and makes putting impossible because your ball bounces off the little holes. Spend the extra $20.00 and go to a better course.

Grounds need repair. Some greens have big holes in them from animals and other from sprinkler and old holes. Sand needs to be replaced. The rough is the same as the fairway basically so grow the rough out and obviously it needs water. Greens can be better with some rain. The carts are newer so more comfortable. greens are difficult. Club house looks like it’s condemned. Price is decent for sure.

First time playing this course, but is a good/challenging course. While the par-3s and par-5s are very score-able, the par-4s are challengingly fun. And a great price for 18-holes.

Who can complain about golf in November? The answer is no one... I booked as a single and was paired up with a nice 3 ball. The staff was very friendly. The pace of play was slow but that was to be expected when it was 72 in November and the course was packed. The practice facilities at Fresh Meadows make it easy to work on your game.

Only played back nine, was in decent enough shape, nothing too bad to complain about on that end.

Pace of play was very slow, they have to spread out their times better, although it was a Saturday afternoon. Took a little over 2 hours to just play 9.

Overall would play again, hopefully at a less crowded time.
