Fresh Meadow Golf Course

Overall course was in decent shape but the lack of sand in the traps weakened the course. Several times during play today it was difficult to keep a ball in the fairway traps as the shots just bounced right on through. On the sixteenth hole, I hit my approach shot to the right of the green. My chip onto the green should have been an impossible shot as there were thick low hanging branches and a sand trap with a high back edge protecting the green. I was expecting to have to play away from the green back towards the tee. Instead, I took advantage of the lack of sand and used my putter to hit my ball into the trap, rolled it through the trap, and out the back edge onto the fringe.

This course is my neighborhood course. Granted we have had rain, but the course was not kept up. Facility is no modern at all and course conditions we terrible. Sand traps were very hard and flooded, wasn't worth the fee today. Really disappointed.

Great price for a course if you just want to get out and hit the ball around. Greens and bunkers need work.

The fairways and greens are in excellent shape for this time of year. Take advantage of a course near city limits.

The staff is very friendly and personal but they could use some Rangers out there and also they have mounds of mulch that have been there for a long time grown weeds out of them they should get rid of the Mounds of mulch would help the course greatly

Left work early to take advantage of the 2:52 pm Hot Deal - a real bargain. I hadn't played the course in several years, but was familiar with the layout. It's only a par 70 and we played the white tees at a little under 6,000 yds, but it plays to about 6,400 since it's a par 70. All of the front 9 par 4's are very long (over 400 yds), but the back is easier. Wide tree-lined fairways with some tough holes. Being close to the city, I'm sure this course gets a lot of play, but the greens were covered in ball marks and the bunker were either rock hard or full of foot prints. They need a ranger out there to teach some golf etiquette. We still had a good time, but I was disappointed in conditions.

As usual, the geniuses that run Fresh Meadows had a shotgun start for a charity outing occurring at the same time as other parties (twosomes, threesomes, foursomes) going off #1. It's not hard guys - why do you make it seem like rocket science?

If you drive your ball off rhe fairway you might not be able to find it

Poor conditions all around from tee to green. Every green was spotty and bumpy. Fairways and tees were shaggy. Roughs looked like they are were partly cut and inconsistent. Bunkers had hardly any sand. Crush burger menu is below average for pricing.
