Fresh Meadow Golf Course

WORST maintained course I ever played. Rough was easily 6-8" high thru Entire course. You dont hit fairway you LOSE YOUR BALL! No exageration!!! We called staff at desk to point out. He laughed and said he had been hearing that all week. Do not Golf here!! I am a 10 handicap & lost 6 balls not even 10 yards off fairway. No LYING!!!! Never going again.

I give it the lowest rating possible you could not pay me golf there again. I have been playing this course for many due to location and value but this was the first time this year the rough is higher than my ankles if you drive the ball 20 off the fairway you will be lucky to find your ball save you money. I wouldn’t give it any stars but for review to be posted you have to give it 1 star at least my true rating is no stars and that’s being generous

I have played this course for years mostly because of location and value but this was my first round there this year. The rough was so deep it covered my shoes ankle deep, if you miss the fairway at all it could take 10+ minutes to look for your ball and you probably won’t find it. Then when I mentioned it to the cashier that the rough was horrible he laughed and said he heard that, WOW how about cutting the rough and the fairway was crap also . SAVE YOUR MONEY. You couldn’t pay me to golf there again

Might have been the time of day (5 PM tee) but this course was incredibly slow. Maybe the slowest play I've seen. There were at least two 6-somes running around.

The relaxed environment was kinda nice too, but overall just made the whole thing too slow. We were hoping to get 15 holes in before dark, but we only got 9.

Course was fine, wide open. Grass ok, but greens really heavily airated.

Restrooms need remolding, only one toilet works in women’s restroom and filthy. Clubhouse floors are dirty and need replacing. Everything is filthy and I didn’t feel that food was safe to eat.

Course is good.

I have shot sub 80 rounds when the pin positions were not diabolical. Yesterday was quite a bit different!. Add to this strong winds and suffice it to say we had problems. Que sera, sera.

My brother used to work here as assistant manager, I went to see him here but never got the chance to play. I love the layout of this course. My friends and I decided to play here in memory of my bro Jason. Brings back sad memories when I went in the clubhouse but all turn well when staff said good things about my bro. Enjoyed every minute of my time playing.

Over priced in my opinion. Horrible greens with nasty duffs that look like they weren't repaired from last year. One hole had two holes ....I'd assume from pin movement old hole wasn't filled in. Pro Shop / bar looks horrible and about to fall apart. Cart manager is extremely rude.

Good golf course for beginners and intermediate golfer.

The course could be really nice if it was maintained better. I used to really enjoy playing this course but it is far to expensive for the quality of the course. This was my first time playing here in over a year and a half and will probably not be back for a long time. On a more positive note the staff is very friendly and the course has potential to be decent.

Basic golf describes this course on a good day. Unfortunately, this was not one of those good days.

Course is really beat up from the season, and the fact that recent green aeration has not healed did not help. Greens were really beat up and fairways shaggy. On one par 5, there is a huge mound of soil and rocks where a bunker should be (or was?).

Management gave us the internet rate as a walk up, which was decent. This was a round planned around socialization so course served the purpose, but don't plan a serious round here until conditions improve.

The ranger was very rude and rushed us when we were already on top of the golfers ahead of us. He got into an argument with us and proceeded to take the key out of one of our carts and left the driver stranded. Very unprofessional and something I have never seen at any of the golf courses I've played at. It was very packed and delayed from the get go. I would not ever think about going back there.

For a course that we played for $45 just 20 minutes from the loop, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Nice putting green and range to start and the course was in great shape. It's one of the few "less expensive" courses close to the city that actually has some yardage, which is a nice change. The course was in very good shape. One demerit would be that the super didn't fill in the previous day's hole locations, so each green had two holes (only one pin). Not the worse thing, but not the best. The pace of play was slow (5hr round), but we never waited too long, and again, for the proximity of the course to the city, a 5hr round isn't terrible. Overall good experience. I would return.

I'm quite disappointed at the round I experienced at Fresh Meadows. It appears that they were (unbeknownst to me and playing partner) having mini outings mixed in with regular rounds. They were playing best ball.

It took 3 hours to get to the 11th hole.

Won't be back anytime soon. There are superior courses available for less than FM.
