Let players playing 9 to tee off on 10th hole
Have 1st tee time to get in and out. Get to 10th tee box and there's two groups waiting, one foursome in fairway and one foursome on green. Asked clubhouse and they tell me there regulars and they let them tee off on 10. It must happen a lot cause they didn't hesitate to refund my round when I asked.
Wet greens
The green maintenance person had the sprinkler system on for some of the holes. We had to skip a couple of holes because either it was wet or sprinkler was still on. Was not notified at time of check in. Sucked.
what a shame
i remember this course use to be really kept up very nice had not played here in a couple of years, i understand playing very early in the season has it,s issues but holes the size of the cup were on the greens, no markers for the tee boxes so you did not know where to play from, although they did charge full price. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE

Good Value
The course was in fairly good shape and the layout was good. We did have to wait on almost every hole but we felt we got the round at a good price for a Saturday morning.
No value for money!!!
I have golfed Fresh Meadows for years. It provided reasonable value and was easy to get a tee-off time. After golfing Sunday, August 14th, the course hit a new low.
1. 90 degree weather and not beverage cart
2. NO WATER on course!!!!
3. long 4 inch wide cuts in turf in front of green
For the cost, I would be better off golfing at a county course, St. Andrews, Schaumburg, etc....
Great Course/Staff/Players
My first time playing this course was a great experience. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I was a single and foursomes in front of me let me play through with no problems. The course was well maintained and although several of the holes were challenging, none were so difficult to cause frustration. I'm typically in the 90s and scored a 93 for this round so I'm right where I should be. This was a Sunday play and the greens were not crowded. I definitely recommend this course and will definitely be back again. Thanks!
Solid course for a decent price
Overall course was in good condition. The bunkers could use some work but overall had a great experience at Fresh Meadow.

Cramped course
I'll admit I chose one of the busiest Golfing days of the year to play, but this course is very cramped. A lot of the holes are right on top of each other. When the course is cramped and full it makes for a long round. I was hit in the head by a group behind us! We were safely standing a tee box and got hit by an errant shot. The staff was nice and brought ice, BUT we almost got hit two other times on the course. Sprinkler heads are in the middle of the greens, which can make for some interesting putts. For what I paid I was disappointed.
Can't Beat the Deal
My Grandpa played this course during weekly games with his friends many years ago. I play there annually as a "tip of the cap" to Grandpa. This time, I found the course to be in great condition being its Spring in Chicago. Greens were in superb shape--possibly the best I've seen. Fresh Meadows isn't the prettiest of courses. But I enjoy the reachable par 5s combined with challenging par 3s and with the location close to the City, the rates cannot be beat.
Older Public Course
Shot there on a Tuesday afternoon after work. Pace was good and they have a couple decent/challenging holes but there were damaged greens from the previous hole locations which was annoying. Got a pretty good price and I think we were off in about 3.5 hrs. Convenient location if your commuting west out of the city.

Great course with a lot of fun holes. Challenging where it needs to be but great for golfers of any skill level. The greens were decent but can use some
Improvement. What stood out is how friendly the staff was out on the course and off. The golf range also had a lot to offer.; lessons from great instructors. Tony Gray improved my golf game immensely. Correcting my form and technique and having the ability to hit the ball straight and far- along with much needed help on my short game.
