Fresh Meadow Golf Course

Played 7/14. About 10 tees were being reseeded, but we teed off from the reseeded areas which were basically dead grass sprayed green with seed. The greens are very hard and small. Not impossible but be prepared to play British Open types of shots. Fairways were hard as well, but not bad to play, just lots of carry on drives. Several major repairs in fairways throughout course.

Played right at 4 hours for 8 am start time.

RECOMMENDED BECAUSE OF PACE OF PLAY, NOT QUALITY

Have played many courses in the Chicago area and this course is too expensive for this course. Tee boxes are poorly maintained and the course is to short.

If you're looking for a fun, stress free day of golf this is the place. The course is pretty much wide open but still challenging. The rough is not excessively deep which makes it easy to find shots not in the fairway. Greens and fairways are in excellent condition. I will definitely play there again.

If you enjoy hanging out, drinking beer and making a 5-6 hour day of your golf game , this course is for you! You'll find the course in fair to poor condition, but playable. The pace of play for anyone that takes the game seriously is more than outrageous. Players etiquette on this course is non-existent. This course has become a hackers paradise. I play this one from time to time simply because of location, but will seek any other course if at all possible.

I got a chance to play early and played quickly and pretty good also. Course in best shape that I can remember. Have played here many times.

While the course is somehow enjoyable, some greens ( not all of them), need special attention. Hole one, two and maybe three had the hole flag in but there was a second hole open on the green,
It could have been just an oversight, it kinda bothered me especially when i had to put and another hole is on the way of your flagged hole.....
and they let 5 some's walk in front of you

If you're looking for a course approximately 30 minutes from the city, for around $50, you can't go wrong with Fresh Meadow. Well maintained course, par 70 with a par 34 back, which was different than anything I've seen before. Not a difficult course and pretty wide open, but still a fun track. Based on all those factors, In my mind, this is a good track for someone living in the city.

One of the better county courses, Fresh Meadow offers wide fairways with several challenging doglegs. This is a well-maintained facility with a friendly, competent staff. Water is not much of a factor, but the course is always fun to play and has
better than decent greens.

I had no problem showing my receipt from Golf Now at the course. I felt a little rushed, but got out on time, with a friendly group. The course played hard because of the wind, the rough, and the fast greens..
The bunkers could be maintained better! Several were full of puddles, while most were not. the course could use a few more yardage markers to improve pace of play. The 150 yardage markers are obvious, but not the 100 or 200 yard markers.

The course is ok (as long as you understand this place was built long ago and not challenging by today's standards). The clubhouse was in the worst condition I have ever seen. It's like they just stopped maintaining it. The floors are like a roller coaster, carpet smells and it would have been better finding a tree somewhere. It's too bad that they have stopped putting money into that important part of the course. However, the greens and tee boxes are in good condition, the rest of the course is o k.

The weather was not ideal for my round and the course was very wet. A few greens on the front nine needed some attention and a few of the greens had extra holes. Pace was great.

Bunkers poorly maintained w/lots of small rocks. Rough needed mowing. Several greens coated w/fresh sand. Not a single towel on any ball washer over each of 18 holes.
The course is a good value, but clearly is in need of some basic maintainence.

Course was in great shape despite the amount of rain that we have received recently. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Great pace of play (haven't played a round longer than 4 hours). Definately a course to be played!

Fresh Meadows is a nice course for a real good price. It was in great shape for all the water it took last week and the pace of play let you get into a nice rythem. Not a difficult course but there are a few challenging holes.

Course was great for the price. The greens were good in comparsion of last year. The sand traps were bad but we had alot of rain so it was understandable. A negative is that we saw alot of fivesomes and the starters werent' going out to speed up the pace.

solid course, very long at some parts. the par 4's can be very challenging, while the par 5's play average.

Course was empty so pace was a non factor normally gets busy as weather warms up. Price is great for 18 holes.

Slow play, did not drain well even 10 hours after rain.
