Hawaii Prince Golf Club - A/B Nines
About
Located on the west side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii Prince Golf Club is situated on what was once prime sugar cane land. Now the land provides 27 holes of challenging golf with panoramic views of the Waianae Mountain Range. There are three nines that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. A/B is the least difficult of the combinations but there is still plenty of character and variety throughout the golf course. Water hazards come into play on nine holes and there are sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. Although it is considered the least challenging, the A/B features one of the most difficult of all the holes at the club, the last hole on the B course. It is a par 4 with water to the left, front, and right of the tee and it usually plays into the trade winds.

Nice open course Photo submitted by Devin1073124 on 04/27/2013
This course is a good value
The course is in great shape except the bunkers were compact sand. The greens are in great shape and if you figure everything breaks to the water they are easier to read. A uphill putt towards the water will be faster than a down hill putt away from the water.
Pretty Good Course
We found this incredible rate from GolfNow and couldn't resist trying it out. The course was in quite good condition and enjoyable to both myself ( a 4 handicap) and my wife and sister in law. I found the course challenging enough but easy enough for my partners. Oahu golf can be expensive, this was well worth the $39 we paid. The best Golfnow price is usually in the $80 range which is a nice discount. I would not pay over $100 for this course, it's not THAT special. It is also in the flight path for HNL, so it gets a bit loud
good course
A good course but directly under the landing flight path for the Honolulu airport so a bit distracting until you get used to it.
I would go back
Hawaiin Prince
The course was good value for money and the staff look after you very well. Lots of planes flying overhead from the Navy base and airport.
Part of your fees they gave me 6 balls and 2 bottles of water which i though was great and good value for the day a i only lost a couple of balls
Great 3 nine hole course
Located in Ewa Beach, so the weather is always perfect. Having a course with 3 nine sections is great. Seems at times you have the course to yourself. Would play there again anytime.i need to mention to practice area. Very nice and you can hit of grass.
nice course
Course was in good shape after rainy night and day. Full access. Pro shop folks usually nice however the crew outside that day didn't bother to pick up clubs for my wife. We play there frequently and he charged us for a cooler and two waters. We usually tip $5 or more but not this time. Employee was not one of the usual gentlemen we see before our rounds. Otherwise a nice day on a fine course. Not the best on Oahu, but a fair test for the best or beginner golfer.
Really nice 27 hole golf course
Very nice course that has 3 9 hole courses. Rates are ok for visitors, much cheaper for locals. Course was in great shape and the greens are fast. Beware of Bermuda rough, it takes some getting used to. Near Pearl Harbor, but views are minimal. Lush course that has pretty heavy thickets off of some holes. In general, you had better be able to hit it straight. Greens were is great shape when I played. Not crowded on the Monday morning that I played except for a small local tournament. Did not eat there so can't really comment on that. Definitely worth playing. Only negative is that it is in the flight path of the Honolulu airport, although the planes altitude is still high enough it isn't too much of a distraction.
Enjoyable afternoon
Three of us had a wonderful afternoon on courses B &C. Peaceful, relaxing, course in good condition, perfect pace of play, and the right amount of challenge. Two bathroom stops was great, too. As far as I can see, the only thing that needs improvement are the directions between courses and some holes. We just guessed which way to go when there wasn't some marker or indication. It's a small thing to fix, but would be very helpful. Overall, had a very enjoyable Monday afternoon.
Course was in great condition
The staff is always friendly, and the couse was in great shape .. I've always enjoyed playing there
Beautiful course
Beautiful course. It's actually three nine hole courses. Try to play all 27 so you get to experience the entire course.
Great course , play very slow
Should have known when I pulled up and saw the prince shuttle dropping off tourists .. Needless to say a foursome and two twosomes in front of me , I had to wait 4 to 7 min every stroke except when on the green ..By the time i made the turn i was a hack ... Btw course was great and greens were great also
C and B
First impressed with pro shop staff's helpfulness and friendliness. Same for staff outside at start and end of round. Friend and I enjoyed the round. We would have liked to seen yardage markers at each of the tee boxes as tee positions not always standard. Would definitely like to enjoy all 3 nine holers next time.
15 YEARS LATER
Played this course during the first two years of opening. The course is still challenging given the Hawaii winds-this time Kona winds! The facilities show a little wear. The ground are not as immaculate as the first time. But given the nice staff and the great value booking with golf now, it was a great day out.
Awesome vistas of Mountains and city in distance
Great views and scenes for picture taking .
Airplanes overhead approaching the near honolulu international airport may be a nuisance to some players but we enjoyed the c137 and other F22 including other commercial aircrafts. The greens and fairways were in very good condition and well maintained.
Outstanding course
This course is just outstanding everyone who comes to Hawaii should play it
Hold on to your hat and hit a knock down.
Nice course, A good challenge in windy conditions, the Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Decent track
Pleasant course. Tee to green in good shape, greens could use a mow.
Got a nice discount using golfnow, so felt I got good value, but would not
Have felt the same paying the rack rate.
Hawaii Prince
the fairways were in great shape. The greens had just been arerated and were hard to putt. Very windy in the afternoon.
Don't waste your money
I've played some excellent courses in Hawaii, this was not one of them. You'd think for $150 greens fee they'd spend some money on water. But the course is brown and burnt. I can't even comment on the greens, since they were aerating them. Unfortunately, no one mentioned this before I got to the 1st green. For this kind of money go to the Pearl Country club or even the cheap public course. I've played better maintained courses in Michigan for $30.
The course was on aerification alert
Because the course was on aerification alert they were offering lower rates then we paid plus the transportation would have been included. We paid to much plus had to pay additional for the transportation to the course. However We did enjoy the day.
