Hawaii Prince Golf Club - A/B Nines
About
Located on the west side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii Prince Golf Club is situated on what was once prime sugar cane land. Now the land provides 27 holes of challenging golf with panoramic views of the Waianae Mountain Range. There are three nines that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. A/B is the least difficult of the combinations but there is still plenty of character and variety throughout the golf course. Water hazards come into play on nine holes and there are sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. Although it is considered the least challenging, the A/B features one of the most difficult of all the holes at the club, the last hole on the B course. It is a par 4 with water to the left, front, and right of the tee and it usually plays into the trade winds.

Golf at the Prince
My wife and I played this course for the fourth time. This time, we Played b-c combination of the 27 hole layout. The A course was being aerated. The round took a quick 3 hours 15 minutes despite having a couple of Japanese tour vans of players on the course.
The conditions were nice with the grass well groomed, cleanly sharp cut edges next to the paths. Greens were fast and true. I just wish more players would learn to fix their ball marks!
Fun experience. Would do it again.
Geat greens; well laid out
Nicely maintained and challenging course. Definitely a must play.
Great Course, especially for a hack like me.
First time played. Great value for the money. Great for both long and short game. Staff is super.
The course was interesting but the conditions were short of what you would expect from a resort course.
Some of the greens were not in very good shape when I played. Pace of play was slower because of the 5 some in front of us.
Many water holes and not as well maintained as expected
We enjoyed playing the course but will look to play other courses before returning to this one. Water on several holes. Limited yard markers. No cooler on the cart. Some greens not in top shape. Speed of play was good. Done in 4 hours. Liked the driving range.
Greens? Well, yes they are there, but we don't mow 'em
Clearly you don't want to play Hawaii Prince on a Monday if you like well maintained greens. To say the greens were slow, bumpy and poorly maintained would be an understatement. Sadly, they've apparently had difficulties with their greens and those that weren't slow due to no mowing had numerous dead patches.
To their credit, the rest of the course was in good shape, but these were about the worse greens on a "good" course in Hawaii I've ever seen.
Not what I call a Hawaiian golf course
This is a fun track to play if you're not hitting it all that well. Wide open, not too much water, relatively flat. Greens have almost no contour, a little grain easy to see. The course is 3 nine hole segments A, B and C. In some cases they ask you to come back after your first nine to see what nine you'll play next. Don't come as a single, although they accept singles for reservations, don't expect that you'll play at your time, and don't expect that you'll get paired up with someone.
Fantastic views despite not being ocean front!!!
Overall a wonderful experience and will go back!
The only disappointment was that the carts (or at least, the one we had) are rather old and there is no GPS feature. Exerything else; the course, staff, restaurant, pro shop are fantastic!
THE Course to Play on Kauai
Wow, what a course. The pictures don't do it justice. The adventure starts on the first hole with a difficult dogleg left (don't hit driver!), and continues on the front nine with fabulous ocean views and steady trade winds. The back nine enters a canyon, and things really get interesting (and tough). The 13 th hole requires either a long carry off the tee and a short iron or a lay up and play it as a par 5. Behind the green is a lava tube with water shooting out of it. I played with a smile on my face all day. Oh, and bring lots of golf balls. The locals play with range balls (no lie!).
