Hawaii Prince Golf Club - A/B Nines

Good solid course to play. Challenging enough to be a test for good golfers but benign enough to be playable by poorer golfers. One caveat: all bets are off if there is a big wind.

Fairways are pretty wide to accept drives, greens are approachable and the green surrounds are not as tough to chip out of as some of the local courses. My second round had a far better pace of play than the first, but still slow at 41/2.

I would recommend this course as one to play if on Oahu.

We picked a bad day to play but we got there early enough to eat at the Bird of Paradise restaurant. The Prince Pupu Platter was amazing and could be split by four people.

Played prince for the second time so have now played all 3 nines. The course is challenging but can be played by less skillful golfers. Course is in really good condition except for the bunkers. What is it about the bunkers on Oahu? They have all the sand in the world available but don't put any in the bunkers of golf courses!!

Greens and surrounds are a little more playable than some other courses with the rough cut relatively short around the greens. Generous driving areas on most holes.

The A-9 seems the easiest.

I'm spoiled. I play at home in 4 hours or less and have had my first two rounds on Oahu less than 4 hours. Hawaii Prince was a labour. Over 2 hours to play the first 6 holes!! It did get somewhat better and mercifully ended in 51/2 hours. I'm a pretty decent golfer and played with 3 fairly new players who hit the ball astray and often, yet we waited on virtually every shot. Of course, pace of play jaded my overall view of the course. That aside, pretty good layout and condition. Wind definitely a factor on this day.

Course and ground condition are good..

Pretty good layout as well as good condition. Three 9-hole courses to choose from.

Great course, staff, and experience. Played A/B; pace was excellent up to the last 6

Holes on B. Was 30 mins ahead of pace; ended 5 min over. Not bad; however, never saw a marshal. Could see this being a big issue at other times.

Booked on Golf Now; saved $30 from regular non-resident fee. However, have yet to take advantage of any gold. Ow credit. Not a ding on course, just a comment on GolfNow “membership” benefits.

We played on a very windy afternoon. Pace of play was fine. We never had to wait.

Staff are very friendly. Need serious management of slow players

Don’t think placing or pairing two twosomes together in one group is the right solution

They need to ask slow players pick up their balls and move to 150 yards marked and not having them hit two to three balls from the T

If you’re looking for views this is not the course. But if you want to a well maintained course then it’s perfect. Easy to access too.

Overall fun course. Grass was cut nicely and at the right heights for the particular area. C is definitely the hardest of the 3. Lots of water

Staff very friendly and a good pro shop. Driving range could use a little maintenance. My only real issue was people seem to play whatever hole they want and drive all over the place.

I really enjoyed playing here, the course was fun and challenging. The course was in decent shape, but the staff was great all around!

I will definitely play here again on my next visit.
