Hawaii Prince Golf Club - B/C Nines
About
The B/C at Hawaii Prince Golf Club is one of three 18-hole combinations that can be made from the three individual nines at the club. It has the longest yardage of any of the golf courses at the club. Water hazards come into play 10 times throughout the course, provided by the 10 lakes that are scattered throughout the 27 holes. The layout also features long, well manicured fairways and strategically placed sand bunkers. The golf course requires accuracy, especially since most holes play into the prevailing trade winds. The last hole on the B course, a par-4 with water to the left, front, and right of the tee, is possibly the most difficult hole at Hawaii Prince Golf Club.

Nice course
Nice course. Pace of play was excellent. Good value.
Super Value
I and my wife played $25 each for 18 holes which is unbelievable price in Hawaii.
So-so for the price
Ok, so it's Hawaii so golf is not cheap unless you are a local. But paying $90 for twilight you at least expect a few items (GPS on cart, clean cart, cooler with ice, maybe a water, etc.). Course is in decent shape and very playable. It's a a decent layout but not anything over the top interesting.
I played Ko'olau Golf Club later in the week and that was much more difficult but not in as good of shape as this course.
I'd play this course again but more in the $60/round range given the lack of amenities.
Memorable weekday round
The young men working the starter desk were super friendly. Pro shop staff were also friendly and efficient getting us out in less than 10 minutes. Fairways were being cut as we played and the teeboxes and greens were nicely cut. Greens ran true and were medium fast. Being a two some and very few golfers out on the course, we finished in just over 3 hours 30 minutes.
Have played all 3 nines mostly during tournaments, itwas nice to play a regulation 18 hole round.
Definitely be back soon!
Windy Daze.......
The staff was great from the pro shop to the cart attendants.....no beverage cart...boo! even on a day when the course was full.
The course was in fairly good condition except for the greens were extremely slow...very frustrating. That said, the fairways were some of the best I have played in recent years. Also folks in Hawaii know when the wind is gonna blow...25-30mph++ and should adjust the tee markers accordingly for those holes into the wind.. While I don't crush the ball any more, I challenge the big hitter to even get to some of the par 4s in two...
Great Golf Experience
Played Hawaii Prince while a Guest at a local resort hotel. Got a very nice rate via Golf Now; course was in very good condition and the pace of play was outstanding. I played the "C" and "B" nines (here is my one criticism: they could be more imaginative with the naming, this is Hawaii after all...) and finished in less than 3 1/2 hours, so I paid a little more and played the other 9 holes - aptly called the "A" nine. Started at noon and finished all 27 holes around 5:00! Staff was very nice. Just a perfect golf afternoon. Spam Musubi at the snack bar was delicious!
Aerated greens
The fairways were in beautiful shape but they had just aerated a few days before and the greens were ugly and hard to judge. They did have a discounted rate but it was still too much. Had the greens been in better shape, the course would have been in perfect shape. However, I do understand the need for aeration.
They also have a wonderful Sunday buffet with open air seating and it is lovely.
good course
My wife and I enjoyed playing this course, but it was quite slow. We had to wait on almost every hole. The conditions were fine, however, and we had a good time.
NaotakeA
We had played the course C/B. The starting time was on time but have to wait almost every hole in the first half of round. The martial should advise some slower players to play faster.
The bunker in some holes were not in good conditions due to very dry/hard ground/sand.
Other than those the overall conditions were very good and we like to play again sometime.
Hawaii Prince
Quite sunny and warm with temperature up in the 90's. Fairways and greens in excellent shape.
Nice course
I enjoyed this course very much (like most of the Ewa Beach courses). The greens were immaculate and it was a very pleasant experience.
One quick side note: Call the course before you book on the website. The discounted price on here was exactly the same price as the daily resident rate. Why is this a problem? Because I was charged a 5 dollar booking fee making it more expensive than it would have been by just calling. Not a huge deal breaker, but I will compare the "deals" more in the future.
This course is a good value
The course is in great shape except the bunkers were compact sand. The greens are in great shape and if you figure everything breaks to the water they are easier to read. A uphill putt towards the water will be faster than a down hill putt away from the water.
Pretty Good Course
We found this incredible rate from GolfNow and couldn't resist trying it out. The course was in quite good condition and enjoyable to both myself ( a 4 handicap) and my wife and sister in law. I found the course challenging enough but easy enough for my partners. Oahu golf can be expensive, this was well worth the $39 we paid. The best Golfnow price is usually in the $80 range which is a nice discount. I would not pay over $100 for this course, it's not THAT special. It is also in the flight path for HNL, so it gets a bit loud
good course
A good course but directly under the landing flight path for the Honolulu airport so a bit distracting until you get used to it.
I would go back
Hawaiin Prince
The course was good value for money and the staff look after you very well. Lots of planes flying overhead from the Navy base and airport.
Part of your fees they gave me 6 balls and 2 bottles of water which i though was great and good value for the day a i only lost a couple of balls
Great 3 nine hole course
Located in Ewa Beach, so the weather is always perfect. Having a course with 3 nine sections is great. Seems at times you have the course to yourself. Would play there again anytime.i need to mention to practice area. Very nice and you can hit of grass.
nice course
Course was in good shape after rainy night and day. Full access. Pro shop folks usually nice however the crew outside that day didn't bother to pick up clubs for my wife. We play there frequently and he charged us for a cooler and two waters. We usually tip $5 or more but not this time. Employee was not one of the usual gentlemen we see before our rounds. Otherwise a nice day on a fine course. Not the best on Oahu, but a fair test for the best or beginner golfer.
Really nice 27 hole golf course
Very nice course that has 3 9 hole courses. Rates are ok for visitors, much cheaper for locals. Course was in great shape and the greens are fast. Beware of Bermuda rough, it takes some getting used to. Near Pearl Harbor, but views are minimal. Lush course that has pretty heavy thickets off of some holes. In general, you had better be able to hit it straight. Greens were is great shape when I played. Not crowded on the Monday morning that I played except for a small local tournament. Did not eat there so can't really comment on that. Definitely worth playing. Only negative is that it is in the flight path of the Honolulu airport, although the planes altitude is still high enough it isn't too much of a distraction.
Enjoyable afternoon
Three of us had a wonderful afternoon on courses B &C. Peaceful, relaxing, course in good condition, perfect pace of play, and the right amount of challenge. Two bathroom stops was great, too. As far as I can see, the only thing that needs improvement are the directions between courses and some holes. We just guessed which way to go when there wasn't some marker or indication. It's a small thing to fix, but would be very helpful. Overall, had a very enjoyable Monday afternoon.
Course was in great condition
The staff is always friendly, and the couse was in great shape .. I've always enjoyed playing there
