Hawaii Kai Golf Course

Slow bumpy greens. No water in all washers. Expensive for experience. Poor value

2nd time playing the course within a week. Very friendly accommodating staff. Greens had improved somewhat. But f following 3 twosomes that could not stay ahead of our group of 3 was brutal, resulting in a 5 hour morning/afternoon round.

Challenging & Fun, but needs faster greens. Group in front of us was two holes behind, not just because they were inexperienced golfers, but had no understanding about pace of play. Taking pictures on the green when there two groups waiting on the tee, and consistently ignoring the cart signs driving all around the greens was not cool. Need a marshal to remind people.

Enjoyed the course and scenery very much.

Could.be a fun course but not for what they are charging. $60 usd to Uber each way. And 30 minutes each way. Not in great shape and greens were very slow. All the staff were great. Should be $80 to play not in the $100s. Still haf fun with the guys I joined but really not worth the costs.

There was hardly any expected fairway condition to reward a good drive. Ground was so hard and no nice fairway grass. This poor condition continued onto the green. There were even other invading grass species on the green. How to read a putt with such disturbance! We have played in numerous golf courses in various Hawaii islands. Unfortunately, we must say this course is the WORST one we have played. However, the starter and the employee in the restaurant were helpful and friendly. We will not be back to play on this course.

I feel the course would have been better experience if the weather was better, worst conditions I ever played in. It would have been nice if the pro shop would have offered a rain check round or a discounted rate on a second round. Food and facilities were good, staff were friendly, but the course wasn’t in very good shape. The course Marshall informed us after the second hole it was cart path only, this made the playing conditions even worse. We should have been informed before we went out , and been given a chance for a refund.

Nice course and more open fairways. Got really backed up around Hole 15. Skipped last 3 holes, otherwise would have been another 1 hour to 1.5 hours to play.

Fairways were just okay. Greens were terrible. I played in the middle of the day at 130 so there was no one else in front or back of me. For $130 it definitely not worth it. You can play Waikele Country Club for $30 more and it's in perfect condition.

Would not recommend playing Hawaii Kai

This was the worst golf course. The reason the round was so fast was due to it being completely empty. Others already aware of the poor shape this course is in. The greens are covered in mowed weeds and the fairways are baron with mostly dirt patches. The sand traps had rocks bigger than my hands. I would strongly suggest if you want to waste money, go shopping at one of the few ABC markets. You’ll get more in return for the money you spend. While this course was $145, not sure I would have paid over $25. Will never return.

Greens were slow and the course was in terrible condition. I was penalized all day for hitting fairways. I wouldn't play there again for $30 with a cart, so $80 was definitely a bad deal.

Small bucket was $10 and the range balls should have been thrown away 5 years ago. 80% of them knuckled because they were so beat up.

The views of the ocean are negligible, the fairways are dry, the tee boxes beat up and the greens are horrendously patchy with weeds and grass. The carts are old and the clubhouse is the same. The staff were friendly but 150 per player for a visitor for that is outrageous!
