Raccoon Creek Golf Course
About
The Raccoon Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course in Littleton. It covers 7,045 yards from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. The course has some difficult elements, such as elevation changes, but it is still beginner-friendly. Water hazards come into play on seventeen holes. The most difficult hole of the course, one of the most difficult in Colorado according to the Colorado Golf Associates, is the par-3 17th hole. The hole runs alongside a creek, the creek that the course is named after, and requires a shot over a portion of it to a very well protected green.

Terrible Tee Time Management
My name is Thomas Stainbrook and I played this course a couple weeks ago on a Thursday morning. I specifically booked the very first teatime with my nephew so we could have no golfers in front of us and finish in about 3 1/2 hours. Which we were on pace to do.
We noticed there was a tournament the staff was preparing for And figured it must start after we completed the front nine. But as we wrap up whole number seven and drive to the number eight box we noticed for golf carts, arriving just in front of us on the number eight Tee box and eight golfers stood on the Tee box preparing to tee off. We asked them if we could hurry up and tee off in front of them Since we were not part of the tournament, that way we were not waiting. Went out of nowhere up, Course Marshall Showed up and yelled at us for trying to get in front of the tournament groups. In fact, he said if we had played any faster, he would’ve stopped by and told us to stop or slow down that way the tournament could start.
From there on forward, we waited on every shot on every Teebox and every par five Fairway to hit our next shot because there were two groups now ahead of us on the same hole.
I asked the course Marshall why in the world would they schedule right in the middle of a tournament? And he had no response and no answer.
Our foursome (Stainbrook(2) and Feherty(2) group and the foursome group behind us who are not part of the tournament. We’re all very disappointed in the poor planning and poor lack of communication on the managements part. It was very obvious and clear that they just wanted to book as many teetimes as possible, without considering the pace of play and other peoples plans.
We had to reschedule our day because our planned three hour and 30 minute round turned into a 5 1/2 half hour round which is freaking ridiculous!
Because of the poor planning management part and lack of communication or even a simple apology, I will not be recommending this course to anyone.
Excellent Conditions
The staff inside and outside were friendly and accommodating. The course was in excellent condition.
Starter was excellent!
Starter did an excellent job. We played after a tournament and tee times were running about 15 minutes late. Starter got everyone out and we played 18 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Fantastic!
Public Course feels like a country club
Course was in great shape. Challenging layout with some tricky greens. Great value and friendly staff
Nice Course
Played as the first group off, following a morning tournament. Our group played behind the last group in the tournament for 7 holes, then the course opened up and we played without waiting the rest of the round. First nine took 2 1/2 hours, second 9 less than 2 hours.
Course was in good condition. The greens were a bit slow and the rough was very deep. Shots not in the fairway were generally costly.
Does it matter?
Slack personnel…not friendly to a new-comer…starter got job done, but not in a friendly way either! Mismatched , mainly because of time, between golfers of different abilities…good course set-up, played at wrong time of day (sunshine arrested ability to see holes).
Great Conditions
The overall course condition was probably the best I’ve ever seen it; tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent shape.
My local course
This is my 3rd golf season living by and playing at Racoon Creek. They are starting to put some money back into the course with the higher greens fees we are paying now for a normal weekday round. New range balls just came in last week, yellow now so you won’t get your white ball confused on the holes that back up to the driving range. It sped up the pace of play a bit I noticed for my shanks that go random places. Beers could be a bit cheaper or some sort of deal if you buy multiple. Staff is friendly and the course is playing pretty good. I always say this time of year “let’s see what it plays like in another month”
Beautiful conditions.
Course is in great shape. Lush, green and challenging pins.
Rangers could be more aggressive with beginners playing faster.
Awesome, difficult track in Littleton
Really was stoked to try this track and boy was I not disappointed. Definitely a harder track if you have a bit of a slice sometimes like me but was such an interesting one. Great conditions. Only thing is no water on course so just fill up at the turn. Would definitely play here again just might bring a few extra balls
