Kiahuna Golf Club

Had my best game ever. Very narrow challenging fairways. Was confused at times which way the hole was facing. But overall had a great time.

This was one incredible golf course. We played the south course. The views were beautiful. The holes were challenging but not too difficult. If I ever return to Konna, I would play here again.

We booked our golf through the Fairmont Resort. As a member of the loyalty program (no charge to join) we received free rentals. The rented clubs (driver and irons) were Taylor Made Stealth.

As an aside, we got a few great bounces off the lava rocks; but you never know how that will go.

Excellent course in great shape but the play was a little slow for me. I did wind up, jumping a few foursomes and that helped a little bit.

Course is excellent. Staff from check in to finish provided excellent service (starter a 49ers fan so plus for that one 😀). Overall challenging due to windy condition and bunker placements.

I played by myself and was able to shoot my best score and finish in three hours. It wa a beautiful afternoon. Can’t wait to come back to the island and play there again

Back nine has some rock outcroppings. Now that I know where to shot, I want to okay it again.

Beautiful setting with grand views. The course was tough on us, especially since it is only a par 70. My wife found too many traps, most of which were too hard/wet to get out of (and several had tracks from previous golfers who did not rake 😩). Greens are almost recovered from being plugged, and play true but are still somewhat dimpled. Not too windy the day we played, but looked like several holes had the exposure to be nasty on the wrong day. Friendly staff made up for some of the off course amenities quirkiness. Restaurant didn’t open until after our tee time with few local options for breakfast. The phone number on the cart to call as you start the 9th hole to place your order goes to a voicemail that is a general line for the restaurant chain and not specific to the course kitchen, so we had an extended wait to receive our food. We only had to let one group play through while we waited, but on a busier day that could have been 3 or four.

This course was more affordable than most in Kauai, but it wasn’t less of a course. If was challenging, beautiful, and from what I know, it has some historical significance on the island. Not many water views, but the beauty of the course made up for that. I highly recommend!

It would have been nice to know that a wedding was taking place outside the clubhouse as we finished our round.

Course was in excellent shape tee to green. I enjoyed the undulated greens.

Single player with 3:24 tee time, was able to get off early off the back nine. Finished in under 3 hrs. Love everything about the course. The ONLY thing that concerned me was having to get the carts in 6 when sunset was almost 7:30. Was not a problem just a worry. Otherwise 👍👍👍👍👍

Complete difference in course design between first 9 holes and back 9 holes, and I enjoied with different strategy.

When I travel to Hawaii I normally go to Maui to play golf. This year I decided to play in Kauai instead. Kiahuna was one of the courses I wanted to try and I’m glad I did. It was in great shape and the he staff was friendly and helpful Thumbs up!!

Played here on a Wed as a single. Got paired with two other golfers and had a great day. Course is resortish, but interesting. Liked the back better than the front. Course and greens were in good shape, other than two of them that had been plugged and sanded. A good alternative to other more expensive ones in the area. Now the bad, driving range was closed, no snack bar and the Paco’s Tacos onsite also closed. Apparently Wed was local morning. Anyway, Still had a good time here and would play again.
