Golf course was in great shape

People were friendly

If you are a golf enthusiast who does not mind a challenge, DO NOT miss the opportunity to play this course. It is as good a track as I have played in recent years. Tough, but fair. It was an absolute delight to play just because of the surroundings. More of a small country club feel than a public golf course.

An added feature was the clubhouse. Decent pro shop and a wonderful restaurant.

If you are in the Rockford area get there!

Aldeen is an excellent golf course with a challenging layout, but kept in fantastic condition. The staff was friendly and the area for food was relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous course. Pace was pretty good with only some waiting to hit. Carts had to stay on the cart path due to swamps everywhere! Bar staff was slow and didn't want to wait on us :( Overall, worth every penny!

In the Rockford area, you will not find a better public course with this quality. The consistency of the greens, the manicured fairways, and the solid challenge of every hole, keeps me coming back. Hit'em straight!! That's the key on this beautiful course.

Such a beautiful challenging course with wide open fairways and a lot of water. This is a professional course. We loved playing there!

One of the best municipal courses in the mid-west, visually beautiful yet demanding your attention at every turn!

This is the most challenging golf course in the area! Aldeen is a gem and I can't express that enough. With many tee boxes to choose from it pleases to golfers of all skill levels. I play here a handful of times a year as a local. The layout is fantastic and course maintainence is above average. Practice facilities are second to none with late night range hours thanks to the stadium lights! Staff is good but I think could be friendlier remember people remember an above and beyond experience more than anything. Greens are the best right around the time of the city tourney and after (mid july-mid august). Pace of play during busy times I would say is average, carts help a lot though and slower players should be practicing more or playing easier courses instead of jumping on here and slowing people down. Again, this is a difficult course with a lot of trouble to get into. Be sure to check out the new bathroom house after hole 13 on your way to 14, high end stuff!

side notes: amazing clubhouse, beer selection and food, drive/walk up window is nice, patio is amazing! the best layout of any course in rockford area including cc's. island par 3 wow!!! keep it up Aldeen!

Very nice course. One of the best in northern illinois. Only negative was that the geese on the course left quite a mess.Very challenging some shot making needed to play if you play the back tees. Pace of play was good for the most part, I will be back to play again. fun course to play.

Our group travel northern Illinois and southern wisconsin.

It is in the top three courses we play and the best course we played on 2016.

If you have any doubts. Put them aside. This is a must play course.

I was in the golf maintenance profession for 30 years, Aldeen is a top condition course. Treat yourself, go play.

We are retired so we have to watch for a deal . We sure did find one . It is such an enjoyment to play your course . I did take the time to appreciate the beauty

Nice course, very slow play on back nine, good condition .

We play this course almost weekly and love to come back. The staff couldn't be more helpful and do great job. Now is the best time of year to play with nice cool days but you are booking college golfers tee times on Sundays from 9 to 3? Again we have played this course twenty or more times and now we have to go to another course? Doesn't seem to make sense not to mention how slow they play.

I have played this course many times this year. It is a great course, with the exception of two things. 1) geese are everywhere along with their feces, greens, tee boxes and fairways. And the biggest course issue 2) there is no control of people jumping on the course. Almost every time I have played this course, somebody jumps on a hole out of order, today a 3 some jumped in right in front of my group. Some play a few holes and then pick other holes to play. I pay green fees as required but I have yet to play this course when someone isn't pressuring me or I stand and wait in a fairway while the group in front takes their time.

Course was in great shape. Greens were rock hard and extremely fast....avoid putting downhill at all costs. Water and trees make shots off the fairway difficult. Great price just far from chicagoland.
